I joined! Now I expect you guys to cheerleader me up Cabbage Hill on Memorial Day.
I'm thinking of adding a heart rate monitor. There are so many out there, I don't know where to start. I just switched to Strava to record my rides and they sell them. Anyone have it? Likes,...
Numb legs and painful feet sound more like a bike fit problem than a saddle problem. I have trouble with Morton's neuroma but it greatly improved after a bike fit and Superfeet inserts.
Not this year but someday. It's on my riding bucket list, lol.
There hasn't been much snow this year. I drove through the pass to Pendleton the other day and there is no snow right now. Kinda scary! I also drove up the highway that I'll ride on day three. Yikes!...
I've always wanted to ride CROC but have never been able to do it. Well, this year I am signing up and come hell or high water I'm going to try and haul my hefty rear up Cabbage hill! Anyone else?
Hope you are doing well Raindrop. I've been there and I credit my bike and my cycling friends for helping me get through it. I hope you add an update soon, thinking about you and sending healing...
Registration opened today! I'm so excited! This year is the first time I'm doing this ride though I have done other multi-day, long rides. Honestly the scariest part is raising enough in donations. ...
Thanks for posting the link Possegal. I haven't had much computer time lately.
Malaholic - hope to see you there. The route is different this year due to Webber Canyon being closed so it...
BOTH my friends have backed out on me. I have no problems riding it by myself so I'll still be there. I got to meet a few Team E ladies last year and would love to meet more this year!

I ride with several recumbent, tandems, and even an Opus. Don't see many of these though.

It belongs to my old neighbor. They...
I wish I could do the Chilly Hilly. It looks like a fun ride but dd has soccer practice this weekend so there's no way I can get to the North side of the state. Wasn't too chilly here today, 51! ...
There was some interest last month in a training thread for the STP so here it is! Let's keep each other motivated and get ready to do 204 miles in July. I'm willing to put together a spread sheet...
I was going to ask the same thing. LOL
Just think, we don't have to climb Webber this year. :p It's closed for construction so a new route is being worked on. I'll let you know when it's ready.
Is there a site for CROC 2009 yet? I...
I'm doing STP so hope to see you there! My friends and I are crazy enough to try it in one day though. At least you have the benefit of a previous STP under your belt. I'm sure you'll be...
Since I have a daughter that does competitive soccer my "plans" may get changed but this is my starter list.
Inland Empire Century in May
CROC if I can swing it
STP in one day YIKES!
It's not as snowy here but still icy enough to make me stay home. Hopefully it will melt tomorrow and I'll get some miles in this week. If I start missing the snow can I come visit you bikerHen? ...
Great idea! Any time a behavior changes and something weird shows up is a good time for a med check. Licking might be OCD but also might have started because of a medical issue. How long has the...
Make sure you don't hold both ends at the same time. It'll blow! We sold them at the museum I used to work at. Kids love'em!

I went with Shimano MB shoes on the recommendation of my cycling podiatrist. I have Morton's Neuroma so tight shoes are not an option for me.
Good luck!

I weighed in but didn't get it posted. Rough week but life goes on. 165.2 which is good!
Lora
Yup, looking into that. We've got a friend who is also a neighbor that has offered to keep them temporarily too.
Thanks for the thoughts.
Our yard is fenced. Tiger and Cyrus escaped by digging out an area I thought I had fixed. In July I boarded the landlord's 2 Goldens while they were gone and one of...
