I'm chicken to risk crashing my new, $2000+ road bike on the still somewhat icy roads etc. My crappy bikes have slicks, too.
I'm already tired of riding on the trainer lol.

Lovely new steed!
lol!
I am a tree-hugger so the thought of throwing away that much steel horrifies me, I mean I recycle everything I can get my sweaty mitts on....hmmmmm I don't think the BSO will fit in our huge...
I wonder if it possible to recycle it? (haha re-cycle)
Go to a LBS (Local Bike Shop) not a box store.
Years ago, I used Tea Tree oil on my face and IIRC it caused some swelling/rash shenanigans, thus, I have avoided it since.
Should I take the risk...?
I'm a BC native...now residing in Colorado. :)
I used to ride my hybrid (flatbar) wearing a skort combo thing. I rode in Critical Mass that way, several times.
Memmmoorrieeeessss....
:( This scares me a lot....I have a new 3.1! :(
the saddle on the MTB is um, old. The bike is a Kuwahara Savage. I also have a low-end unisex hybrid with a different, cheap saddle that has never caused me a problem.
I think my wearing of just...
the one that came with my Trek Madone WSD 3.1..it says "U22" underneath.
I have never measured my sitbones, nope. I have ridden my 20 year old unisex MTB all over the place and never had this...
Interesting...
I just wore tights without underwear. They are MEC tights incidentally - not expensive.
My new steed has a Bontrager Affinity meant for chicks.:/
I don't have neosporin, either, as I don't believe in it. LOL
I wonder if a saline soaked pad made with kosher salt would help? I've used that numerous times to heal wounds etc. Hmmm
Can you...
Thank you. We have antifungal cream...but no zit cream in the house as I don't generally suffer from acne to any great extent. DH has some Chamois cream, I think...
...after only 10 miles of riding my new bike. Fail! The saddle is at the correct height etc.
I do not have padded shorts - I blame this for getting the saddle sore.
I have an itchy, zit-like...
Panniers attached to rear rack and/or Cycling backpack...
Thanks :) DH is more of the tinkering with bikes type...I might give it to one of our cyclist friends hmmmm
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Ariansnow/roadmaster1of1.jpgThanks! So it's not worth it even though it's Made in the USA?
A friend of mine thinks it's a re-branded Raleigh from the 80s,...
I was headed down to get my stepson from school when I spotted a bike with "free" on it. Intrigued, I went closer to it - I was excited to see "Made in USA" on it so I grabbed it and walked it and my...
Was that in Vancouver or Calgary? :O
I'm trying to get a decent shot of my new steed:

I am not 100% happy with that photo, but it will do for now.
Thank you :) DH was loading her into the van in the parking lot, a woman parked beside us, got out, saw my shiny new steed and said "OMG I'm so jealous! Congratulations!" :D
I did not know how to shift on a road bike before I got one (today.)
Also, my DH, who has been riding a road bike for years, didn't know how to shift at first, either. He rolls with a Specialized...
