There is a sizable difference from the terry liberator to the liberator-race and liberator men's. I find the normal liberator to be too short and the men's too wide, but the race is just right....
High five, Girl! You did a 24 as your first race. :) Give it about a week and youll be dying to do it again ;)
Its always fun to tell people you can ride 50 on flats. :D
Then you tell them kilometers :p
On the positive. At least they went small and you could ride home :) I learned in my nieghborhood growing up to never leave the lights and computer on because they would push all the buttons,...
One important thing to have is a mile you can count on. Take something that is usually right(such as your car) and clock out a nice mile route on a quiet area that you know won't change landmarks on...
I just had a little finding in my last race(which I got 2nd overall  )
Placing my small finger around the outside of the barend, instead of the normal 1 lever, 3 on the grip(mtb). It was...
I had that majorly up til the last race. I changed to doing a sugar load before and after with 2 PowerGells before and one after. The headache is usually related to a glucose deficiency and recovery...
Pink makes a diff too. I noted the difference with skirts/colors too. In the winter my bf likes to borrow one of my hot pink coats to ride in the city in. It really does get more distance out of...
Makes ya wonder about the stairs ;)
I got curious and tried padding up to 36d out of curiousity :o since I am naturally barely b. No hitting at all. I guess I have a longer torso or something(5'8").
The much earlier refference to...
Been there. Didnt like it  Drafting is a delicate practice that demands a lot of attention, and team work. Hopefully once is a charm. :o
Wimp :D
Tell him girly girls can do it
Actually, contrary to what we are led to believe, we biker chix take a lot of protien. During the season I worry more about gaining enough weight back after a race than I do about losing it. I read...
My season schedule usually goes like this:
Sun: Race/ride hard
Mon: light riding/relax and eat
Tues: Hard ride/long ride(commute in my case)
Wed : Depending on the upcoming race, a second hard...
The only time spokes break other than outside forces(like sticks) is when the wheel is not tensioned enough. The spokes should be all tight enough that if the tire is off the rim it should make a...
Cannondale makes the most normal looking and nicest walking SPD shoes I know of. Not neccesarily racer specific(but I use them for that too) but they are great all-day shoes. FC-610 is the model.
My terry liberator race is about 6-3/4 by 10.5. Fits me like a glove. Fore/aft and tilt are soo totally critical though. The unique thing with the lib-race is is it has a kinda sag and curve up to...
I just looked at the calendar after putting the final clearcoat on my alternate(soon to be main) race bike and realized it's that time already!
I cant wait, but there's a lot of preps to do...
Ill have to post pics of my towing rack. It has a big cable hook and works well with the super low gearing on the mountain bike. Hardest part is getting started. It is really fun to see people's...
I towed a 15 ft section of tree with my mountain bike :D , Sink is no big
I have a roadie but I still like running the MTB on roads. In the winter I like the extra resistance to warm up with, and it allows pursuing rabbit trails as they come up :D
If you pull on your pedals instead of pushing it will work the calves more. When you pedal through the stroke, work your ankles as much as you can instead of your knees.
It was 70 here yesterday. It rocked to have the hangars all open to daylight and not need coats. I went for a nice long ride after work then went home and got the shorts and rollerbladed around town...
I have used car wax religiously from the beginning and love it. I know several people who use pledge. It works, but I like the results with a hardshell carwax more. The effort invested is worth it. I...
