Holy cow! I did a 600K!

Wow. I just completed a 600k. I am super shivery and cold and waiting for my bacon double cheesburger to be brought to me. :D

Anyway, I think the total ride time was 35 hours, 40 minutes (out of a 40 hour limit) and my ride time was about 28:45. I slept about 45 minutes in a communal motel room with some friends.

Need to eat. Will report tomorrow.

I've been staying awake (yeah I know it's early! but I'm beat) to see how you did! I almost called you a bunch of times.

Once you're well fueled and rested, I'd love to hear more about it - esp your training tips (just took a job, so the long rides will have to be relegated to weekends - though I'm considering the 4:45 ride time suggestion offered in another thread;)).

To think, MP, you could have stayed home and watched the Princess Bride on TV yesterday afternoon. The "to the pain" scene must have been on just as you were on your last 200k. I'll take a little credit for sending good vibes to you.:rolleyes: :D

O M G! I'm sitting here with my mouth hanging open in awe... that is a looooong ride! :eek: excellent time you made too... wow... we're not worthy... LOL!

Honestly, the hardest part for me to try to wrap my mind around is the whole "I got 45 minutes of sleep" thing... :eek: :eek: :eek: I don't think I could even function on that little sleep! wow wow wow... you just plain ole ROCK! :D

Hi MP- Congrats to you! EXCELLENT job! Amazing what we can do and your endurance is truly remarkable. I too was thinking of you Saturday and hoping you would finish! AND you did it well below the cut off time.

What I'd be interested in knowing is how you did food wise, what you discovered about brevets, how you are doing now, and what it was like to be on your bike for such a long time.
