I couldn't figure out what or where it was... until I clicked on your name, Tulip.

It's a different way of displaying the profile, and it keeps a tally of who's been peeking at you (and their name). I guess you can leave notes on someone's profile, too. Like a public PM?

I got to be the first person to peek at Tulip! Recorded for all posterity! :D

Not quite sure what the "friends" thing is or the purpose it serves. I'm sure someone who does Facebook or Myspace or something will come along and explain it all.

I can't see where reputation is supported here, though - which is fine with me, but it can be useful to people who are new to the forum.

I think it can be the new washable wool, because us luddites don't have to bother trying to understand that, we just know it's magic and it works.

The forum changes, we gotta try to understand and it requires thought.

oh lord, this was done at another site I frequent. The "reptuation" stuff was deemed a failure after a year, and social groups thing was also removed after it was discovered that no one really used it.

New forum stuff

I had to upgrade the forum software to get the latest security patches for VBulletin. Our ISP was reporting some hacking activity that appeared to be coming from the machine that hosts the forums and forced us to immediately upgrade VBulletin.

Turns out it wasn't us, just someone spoofing using a forged IP that happened to be our IP address.

I'm still exploring all the new features - another upgrade from 3.8.x to 4.0 series of vbulletin is coming, so if you don't like the new features, just ignore them. It'll probably change even more with the move to 4.0.

Ditto.. The "reputation" stuff was just goofy, and loads of social groups were started...then abandoned within weeks. :p

Well in the case of this other site, people were having way too much fun with the negative reputation feature, but regardless it was all abandoned after a while.
