Ever had one of those mornings?
I got up this morning for masters swimming, forgot to load something into my truck that I was supposed to for work. That was OK as it wasn't vital for today. I'll get it tomorrow.
Swam HARD!! Then got out my single serving of organic chocolate milk for my recovery drink. You know, the little ones for kids' lunches that don't have to be refrigerated. I barely touched the straw to the aluminium foil when I remembered to shake. When I shook it, it spit up all over me. Dang I must have peirced the foil with my straw, right? Then I took a drink, tasted a little funny but I wasn't sure so I took another dirnk. Not only was it funny tasting, it was chunky!!!!:eek: I nearly barfed.
So off to work. I'm leaning over the desk and my receptionist doesn't see me and almost pokes me in the eye with her pencil eraser.
Then the battery died on my video camera when I was trying to do video analysis with a running client.:o
Then at some point in the morning I manage to lose my shoes. So had to run around barefoot. :o Fortunately I work in a PT clinic so this kind of behavior is not totally unusual.
I wonder what the afternoon will bring?
Yes...had one of those mornings this week
I had one of those mornings this week as well. Hubby was away at conference and dog starts going ballistic at 5:30 am. I let her out only to have to get up again in 10 minutes to let her in. At this time I realize the big garage door has been up all night (the cat has a bad habit of tripping it). I pushed the button to put the door down, the dog is going nuts wanting to be fed so I turned to feed her and heard a horrible noise. Turned around to see the cat squished under the big door! So, at 6am (after my vet was terribly rude to me) I got my 11 yr old up and we rushed the cat to the University-Vet School ER room. Long story short the cat is alive and doing well. She had no broken bones but badly damaged lungs. She is healing and getting stronger every day, in fact today she seemed very normal again. Watch your garage doors closely with pets and kids. We've always been careful because she has such a bad habit of running under it at the last minute. This particular morning, I wasn't watching as closely as I should because I was sleepy and had a crazy beagle howling at my feet. It came completely down and was touching the floor, I still have that horrible image in my mind of the poor cat trapped under it. At least she is going to make it and hopefully didn't waste too many lives, she's 10 yrs old and doesn't have many lives left.
