135.8 today
I've had a few medical visits this last week or so, and they insist on weighing me. I normally weigh first thing in the morning, and naked. I know that we gain weight through the course of a day, and of course clothing weighs as well, but 5-6 pounds difference  I know this is normal, but sheesh.
I am just very aware that I've more body fat than a year ago, even though I've not gained all that much weight. While I've a solid diet, I think I need to cut the protein a bit and add more veggies. Too much protein is stored as fat and, frankly, until my neck heals I have to cut back on the intensity of my workouts. Thankfully my thyroid levels are fine, they were just checked :)
117.0... small increase, but the words of the Carmichael coaches are echoing in my head I get ready for 111 miles on El Tour de Tucson tomorrow: "This is not the week to be dieting. 90% of your food should be carbohydrates".
234 even.
I've not been eating the best this past week, and I haven't been on my bike since last week, either -- illness and injury, and a busy schedule, and a house emergency...mold! I have to get this cleaned up and the kitchen painted before Thanksgiving, which will be here.
His mom and two sisters, maybe three, and at least one of their adult children, possibly two more and their new husbands and one of their new stepkids.
But the mold, I have to get this fixed. I'm stuffy and coughing and it's just not good.

Yesterday's WW weigh in was 153.8
I guess the pressure of wanting to stay under my 5% milestone from last week to this week worked out well for me ...
Wednesday night a crown cracked on a back molar, so I called my dentist first thing yesterday morning. Very lucky for me, he was able to fit me in that very morning.
So, just like last week, I had to do the drive-by weigh in and not stay for the meeting. Turns out, yeah, I managed to stay below that 5% milestone, and on top of that reached another one -- lost a total of 10 pounds so far on WW!
(This was over an 8-week time period; Ten pounds over 8 weeks is certainly no speed record, but WW is intended to be a lifestyle not a diet (uhhh... yeah) and hopefully I'll manage to keep it off)
So now I have two milestones I want to stay under for the next WW meeting. Which won't be for another two weeks, since next Thursday is Thansgiving. Oh boy. :D
175 - up a little, but had my body comp and lactate, etc., testing at my gym and the body fat % is down from 2 months ago, which is good. I can feel that (loose pants!). I have not been as focused with WW as I really should be the last couple of weeks. Oh well.
143.2. It's TTOM, and my face was really puffy when I woke up yesterday (I was at 143.6 then) so I'm retaining water.
I think it does matter - my diet is pretty restrictive as it is and I keep a close watch on my calories. I typically do not exceed 1,400 calories a day unless it is a long-ride day or other activities that are more intense than what has become my norm. I don't think it is about protein vs carbs, but about the entire nutritional balance.
If my body isn't using the extra protein because of a change in activity level (say I've backed off on weight lifting because of my neck injury) then it would be better to cut back on the protein and replace those calories with something like dark green veggies - nutrient rich/low calories. I need high protein for blood-sugar management, but there is some room to work with there. All of my protein sources are good quality lean sources like skinless chicken and non-fat dairy, along with egg whites and quinoia. My endocrinologist and dietitian both want me to get a from 90-140 grams of protein daily. So it is a balance.
I've been told I would do well to increase my calorie intake, but when I do that I also gain weight, so I am not going to do that :) I am not comfortable with decreasing my caloric intake, even with my injury I am pretty active...
201, now for Thanksgiving week.
Hanging in at 140 which I am okay with.
142 this morning.
Still 174.
Was thankful that I've still got some extra padding on the commute this morning.....lost a screw in one of the SPDs somehow and I kicked my heel out, the shoe turned but the cleat stayed in the pedal...slo-mo tip time. I got the other side unclipped and ALMOST got my center of gravity over to the other side, but too much stuff on the rack. Anyway, I also fell well, landing on the a**/thigh junction which is well padded, so no bruise :) Little scuff on the bar tape and bar end, and another one on the back of the rack, so the bike is ok too :)
No change for me (I weighed yesterday); at least I haven't gained. I've bumped the running mileage up a little bit and am hoping that will at least keep me where I am as we enter the pie eating season.
