TE TD: for clarification, I like straight folks (just not that way, ya know). And Independent Fabrications makes bikes with straight forks that I like the look of. I think it's the contrast.
I like the the way straight carbon unpainted folks look in contrast with painted bike.

Straight carbon forks - That's just it folks, most of them are carbon - they soak up the road shock because of the material they are made out of. I've got them on my carbon bike - they are GREAT! But, I also like a fast handling bike as well
Hubby is on his way to Sanibel Island Florida today. I leave on Monday! We're going out to visit my inlaws - Don't worry, they aren't typical inlaws, I actually like them a lot. A change of scenery with some humidity doesn't sound too bad at all!

TGIF indeed. End of a long week, and tonight I get to be with J, going to dinner with him and two of my dear friends, Debbie and Mike. Then tomorrow he and I are driving to Galena, a pretty town on the Mississippi River, western edge of Illinois. I'm packing hiking gear; if the weather's decent, we'll hike some trails in the Mississippi Palisades State Park. I'm mostly looking forward to spending time with him. It's where my inlaws live so I've been there several times. Last time, was last Spring.
I always enjoy my stay - don't think I would exchange Flagstaff for Sanibel (too many people) but it is a great place to go visit.
Do you know if there is anywhere near there that is good for surfing?
