Is fried pie what you have after deep fried turkey thanksgiving dinner?
THAT was some really cool video! My 7-yr-old son was mesmerized. lol
Some random thoughts:
The t.v.'s too loud.
I'm hungry.
I want some pie (thanks alot you guys).
Can't wait for my new range oven so I can bake some cookies (my current one is on the fritz).
What really is the meaning of life....and....
where is the end of the universe, and is there really a restaurant there? <wink>
And finally, I need another beer. :p

Giant zit apparently does not know that it's not supposed to be on a face this old!
Crows feet and zits, WTH!?
My a/c is on the fritz. Was actually nicer outside yesterday, in the shade, than inside... until the gnats found me.
I put my Element in the body shop to have a dent repaired (some guy door'd it). I felt very thrifty--throwing my bike in there, driving to the body shop, then riding my bike home.
Now I get to drive the beater Civic down to Little Rock tomorrow and to the dentist today (both too far to bike).
I hope the guys at the body shop find the keys up in the overhead console. I prolly could have left them in the ignition in this small town, but I don't want to tempt fate.

Oh, BMC...I don't know how you stand that. We haven't broken 95, yet, thank goodness. But since there's no plaster in the upstairs bathroom (still!) the bathroom has become just another compartment in the attic. Despite closing the door, opening the window and running the exhaust fan, it is like having a blast furnace turned on up there, and takes almost all night too cool off my bedroom which is across the hall.
And we haven't broken 95, yet. Gahh!

We keep having rain followed by 90+ temps...it's like living in a rain forest!
I love Seattle!
but i am still having hotflashes! and my face still breaks out regularly as well.
It will never end; this i know.
Same ole me...new name. :D
I went to Whole Paycheck thinking I'd get some supplies for the week for the office so I don't have to bring a lunch to work. A co-worker told me their 365 brand is competitive with "normal" grocery store brand.
Well, it's true. Wow. Milk a whole 50 cents cheaper than my "regular" grocery at home. So I loaded up on that and other stuff and ended up sweating my way back to the office.
Quick: a calculator -
Home: Milk is 3.99 - five miles from home (closest store) - sweaty 20 min uphill bikeride home.
Office: At wholefoods 3.49 - sweaty walkin' mile from office (32 from home... so it has to go home on the bus then bike pannier for 20 min uphill bikeride home...)
Was it worth it?
Well if you consider the extra work a benefit, yes. You got a walk, a little extra weight on the climb to help sculpt lovely legs. If it were 100 degrees there like here and you got home with spoiled milk, no. :p
I really despise SPAM text messages. I can handle them in my email but my phone I get excited thinking it is DH (we text at lunch/break). Now I just see it was a phishing thing trying to get me to call about some non-existent bank account. I wish it had been my sweetie.
New circuit board, new theromostat - a/c is working again. Nala the dog and the kitties are much happier. Their mom is estatic, until she got the bill. Isn't that what a savings account is for?
My new thermostat talks too. So long as it doesn't do wolf whistles as I streak from the bathroom to the bedroom, we'll get along just fine. :p
My thermostat doesn't talk, but it is programmable. That is a wonderful thing.
It was 104 here yesterday. But we've got a cold front coming in!!! Party!
I think we hit the mid 60's here in lovely Seattle today. And it was never bright enough to cast a shadow. I was ecstatic. More than 3 days of sunshine in a row and I get irritable.
(and I got to wear a long sleeved shirt and a wool hoodie over it ALL DAY! yeah!)
Really? The A/C is still cranked to keep the house down to 74. :o And today was much cooler than yesterday - cool enough to race the time trial. Yay!
I can't imagine how painful it would have been to be without A/C at higher and humid temps. YIKES!!!
Glad you're like the cooler weather, KY. We don't want to see you get irritable or anything....

Yeah, and if I moved to the PNW, I'd need a sunlamp. If I go more than 3 days without sunshine I get seriously cranky.
And yet, somehow Seattle still draws me.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the repaired a/c is humming along, and the car battery died. Spent 3 hours last evening in the PepBoys waiting room. Here's my credit card...
Just when I get it under control, even treat myself to some cycling duds. It isn't fair!!!! :(
When my battery died I decided to play mechanic and change it out myself...the pair of pants I ruined cost more than a real mechanic would have. :(
The house is shaping up, finally!! I've been doing back breaking labor cleaning up the "nature trail" and about 20 trees and shrubs that are in the way of the new to-be-built garage. Soon I'll have a place to put the bikes (and scooters/kayaks/air compressor/car...). :D
How come the weathermen have said it would be thundershowers for like, seven days straight, and we hadn't had a one? And sorely need it?
Threats of thunderstorms make me not want to ride... so then, I don't ride, and get anxious about not riding, so then when I do decide to just go ahead and ride, I panic that I made the wrong decision and am going to get struck by lightening.
Beth- I am the same way, hate days of overcast yet long to move to the PNW??
They are cleaning the windows behind me (4th floor) it is kind of freaking me out to have someone outside my window. Well other than my pigeon I call Pat.
I just figured out what IIRC means.
What's the story there???
So it is nice and cool here now (has been downright cold all week), but we're headed for some hot weather now I think. My sort of sister is coming for a few days and we're riding bikes this afternoon I think. Hot weather would be ok for that.
I have someone from a forum where I used to be a huge contributor following me around the net and being a mildly menacing jerk. Since we've met in real life and he knows where I live it creeps me out a bit.
I thought a change in user name would make it more difficult for him AND not end up ruining TE for me.
Ew - that is nasty! Sorry. Is it that big moto forum that starts with "A"? Haven't been there in a while...
Wow - sorry. That totally blows. Losers.
We went to a motorcycle shop last night and they had some amazing stuff (BMW clothes, etc.) Wow you can spend so much money on that stuff. I like my super cheap Joe Rocket jacket. It works. But wow, those are so pretty. Oh well.
Then we had to go get DH emergency new tires as he'd gotten tread separation on one going over the Richmond Bridge - in the car we just drove to Oregon - and he was lecturing ME about needing new tires!!
At least there's a super British pub by the tire store. Mmm. Black and tan.
I emailed 5 different stores in BC and Alberta, looking for the tri top. Hope one of them comes thru. Where's the crossing fingers icon??
Oh I'll never tell.
Thanks. :D
I got my boots from the BMW shop... ON SALE, like 40% off :D They were about the same price as full-boat for a pair of comparable boots anywhere else.
I ride in cheap Joe Rocket (plus a Knox back protector) but I don't trust it. I seriously covet Rev'It! gear but I can't find anywhere to try it on :(
Free-One flu..Anyone want it? :o
I just wanna bike/swim outside..
I'd do an easy spinervals dvd but don't know if i'd just end up feeling worse & hacking..
K..i've had it for a week & have tried to just do the drink white or rooibos tea/water, spirulina & multi vitamin capsules & sleep..it's not going away...The coldral flu tablets don't help much either.. I feel guilty not being at work :o
At least I get to see my lovely cycling(ok he has a motorized bike for when he does house visits to old folks..) dr tomorrow..
I'm sure someone else in Perth would love my flu..Feel free to have it!
I can't decide if the 38's or 39's in the SIDI's fit best.. Ian is getting annoyed with my shoe dilemma.. Umm there might be a size 38 in SIDI's for sale on our TE garage sale thing..Oh dear..
ARGHHG...hmmmm?
Hope you're feeling better cc.
I made raspberry jam! Mmmmm! (pickin' season is long over - but since we were out of town during the end of it, I just threw the berries in the freezer until I could get to them)
Now for pancakes... whenever we get a chance to eat a meal at home again...
