rheidis73(Heidi) and I will be attempting our first 100 mile ride on Saturday, 8-26
I'm attempting my second century ride tomorrow, Sept 2. I'm curious to see if it's any easier than my first. I hope it is. I've been doing a lot of racing, one TT and pounding local hills in the big chain ring. Hopefully it's done me some good.

Well, I did my second century ride on Saturday.I rode a Catrike Speed and my fiance a Catrike 700. The first 55miles were very hilly with 9% grades every ten minutes. It was painful....very painful. Dave received an emergency call from a patient interrupting our ride at 55 miles so we could head back into town to discover that he didn't show up at the office. We set back out at 5:30 and finished our ride in the dark, getting home at 9pm. The last 45 miles were blessedly flat, but we managed to cut 45 minutes out of my last century finishing it in 7 and a half hours.
I maxed my top speed at 41 miles per hour on one hill and Dave maxed at 43. I finished with an average of 13.2, which is only down one tenth of a mile from my first century and considering the hilliness of the first 55 miles...I'm not complaining. The trikes performed well, no sore bottom, just tired legs!!
