Taken on my great-grandmother's front porch in rural NC when I was three (1964). I'm the one on the right (with cousins on the left) -- as usual, off doing my own thang. :D

This is a wonderful thread! I love all these photos...ah our innocence, our dreams back then and determination..into the unknown.

This is a sequence of me & my older sister. My dad used to take forever to get set up to take a picture, which generally meant we were all grumpy looking by the time the picture got taken... As you can see, I didn't really have the patience for the picture taking

Yeah, don't you love us in our panties out in the yard? Squeezing a kitten and sitting on a giant watermelon that my grandmother grew herself. Made sure I had my shoes on, because, unlike my cousins, I lived in Chicago, not rural Arkansas. My dad always called that hat a Chinamen's hat. I don't know if that's an inappropriate term or not. I wish I still had that hat, though!

It's a classic, that photo.

If I saw those pics laying around our house I would think they are me, my sister and my cousin. The one in the wagon looks like my older sister, the older one in the chair me and the little one my cousin.

What great photos. I love Clock's photo, so proper and british, and Catriona, you look like you were an entertaining little kid. Lisa, you look just as I imagined, and so many of you just have naughty looks on your faces!

The first one is me on my roller skates. We were living in Eugene, OR, and this was around 1974, maybe?

The second one is me in my halloween costume. We were in Nyssa, OR, and it was 1975.

The third one is me and my baby sister. This was around the start of school, September 1976. My dad had just gotten stationed at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. We lived in Bossier City in some apartments before we bought our first house. I remember I loved that polka-dot dress. I wore it for school photos and ended up having a bloody nose that day. My dress was ruined. I was so embarrassed! I think the sun must've been in my eyes in this picture, hence the wink. :p

She was, wasn't she? She was chubby until Jr. High or so, then it all evened out. She's very svelt now. :cool: Now I'm the chubby one! :eek: I'm workin' on it, though. :D
