Since I have today off and I need something to do I think I'll go in search of Tim Tams. There is a World Market in Louisville so that is my first stop. We have a Costco as well but sadly I do not have a membership:( Gosh I hope I find some for I love sweets and they sound SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD!
I found them, I found them and man are they wonderful!!!!!! I'm going to have to practice some serious willpower to keep from eating all of them at once.
Well, I'm sure I'll find them in Bloomington...it may be Mellencamp's "small town", but it counts itself as worldly.
Heck, the local health food coop carries Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies ( I've not figured that one out yet)...so Tim Tams should be par for the course...
I can be strong. I can be strong! Okay now we will see what happens this evening.
Best of luck. I was sadly not strong with my Latte Tim Tams.
I found this, my emphasis on the last part:
Marketing by stealth isn't the only tactic employed in relation to Tim Tams. They have also been associated with the double entendre, such as "Ten reasons why a Tim Tam is better than a man", and "Two and a half inches has never been so satisfying". These people are well aware the major devourers of Tim Tams are women. Perhaps the name "Double Trouble" is not so far off the mark. Arnott's has also reported that most Tim Tams are eaten in the privacy of the home, and forty percent of customers admit to hiding their purchase of Tim Tams from friends and family.
Just 40%? Surely some of the respondants are, um, just forgetting to share.
I'm sharing, but only with immediate family - and only because I got caught.
Ahem..CWR...your time will come to experience the flavour of Tim Tams :D Dream of white sandy beaches & tim tams in your mailbox and they shall arrive soon.

oooohhhhhh......
I also wouldn't mind a few Aussies or Kiwis here to make friends with. I know they are good people. (Those Canadians are good people too)
