it was deleted by mutual agreement with the thread starter and the adminstration here. There was personal stuff i guess.

So many of us had personally meaningful things on that thread, it would have been nice to get a 48 hour warning or something, so we could have each gone in and saved certain personal posts that meant a lot to each of us individually. :(Quote:

The loss of the Ruby postings is a tragedy on an epic scale.

I had the worst mtn bike ride ever last night. I have no idea what planet I was on but somehow things just didn't quite click in my head. I had to stop & ponder my thoughts as I was getting frustrated. :( I was ok at the beginning then something just went *poof*. My legs were fine!

How are you feeling these days? I wanted to give you some support in the thread where you mentioned those icky shakes returning, but had no idea what to tell you! I hope that everything improves & your neurologist will be able to assist in finding a reasonable health improvement plan!
I will be looking for a new job at the end of January. To make a long story short, one of our PA's is leaving to study full time & our admin team has to shuffle things around. Since they can't say when they'll find a replacement, the company won't let me go part time. :rolleyes::mad::( My boss is totally cool about everything & we've been discussing when to throw my cv out to the market. Hey, we even had a peek at a few job sites!
The excitement never ends :rolleyes:
CC, you will probably have a great ride on the weekend exactly because you had a lousy ride today. Things have a way of working out :) I'll send lots of butterflies, anyway!

BSG: Didn't several of us tell you to turn Ruby's adventures into a book??? But you had so many other projects that took priority. Oh well, as my grand-nephew says. When I lose text during a writing project (which happens from time to time) I always console myself that if it was worthwhile, it will come back to me, very likely in improved form. So I start again, and sure 'nuff, the reconstructed text is often better than the draft I lost. So get those Ruby photos collected in a file and start turning them into a book. :cool: And remember to let us know when it's available at local bookstores near us. :D

Well, we moved our new-to-us entertainment center in last night. We ended up renting a small uhaul enclosed trailer to haul it home. It came with a 32" tv. That thing alone almost killed us getting it up the stairs to our 2nd story apartment. Any future tv purchases will be of the much lighter, flat screen kind. :p We decided our best course of action was to partially disassemble the center for move in. We took off the top, sides, shelves, glass doors... still almost killed us. It's nice though. The old adage is true... never go yard saleing in a poorer neighborhood than your own. Or craigslisting for that matter. :D We ended up putting the tv in and then putting the top on. It was a lot easier that way. We put our old center out for free. I hope someone can use it. It's still nice just not what we needed.
In all of this, we reorganized the whole living room, dining room, closet space... for optimum space saving, storage... we have an entire closet for bikey stuff now. The bikes are up on wall racks, the computer desk is downstairs now so Kit doesn't have to feel so far away when she is doing her homework. The loft is a total mess. :eek::o That will be dealt with after the holiday. My arms are still shakey and weak from yesterday. We won't even discuss my back and my arse and how bad they hurt. I'm so glad I'm on vacation this week. :cool:
Some vacation, X! There are those among us that might call what you've been doing "work"! :p Glad you're liking your re-org. Has me inspired to get going on more of ours. We have a friend staying with us next Thursday night (Nine Inch Nails concert), it would be nice to have some of the messier parts of the house in some kind of order. :rolleyes:

Naw, life just keeps us busy. It certainly has its ups and downs!! DH was fired without cause today. This one doesn't have anything to do with the current economic situation, more like maniacal management.
It will take a few days to process this, get his resume updated and all that, during which I reserve the right to be occasionally p***ed off and irritated about it. But I am sure that very soon we will see the opportunity that he really needs to follow. Ultimately, this will be a good thing. Not sure when it's going to start *feeling* like a good thing....
