These are all so much fun!!!!!!! Keep em comin! I want to comment after so many of them. But you guys might get sick of me doing that. I love all of them!
I can't believe I'm posting these, but here I am at about 2 years old on the left, and 1 year old (with my 4-year-old sister) in 1958 sitting in my grandpa's favorite chair.

This is my favorite picture of me ever. Someone else's brother had the same hat, above, which reminded me. :)

That is a great photo, Tuck.
I'm gonna have to go the shoot-the-photo-with-a-camera route.
Taken on my great-grandmother's front porch in rural NC when I was three (1964). I'm the one on the right (with cousins on the left) -- as usual, off doing my own thang. :D

This is a wonderful thread! I love all these photos...ah our innocence, our dreams back then and determination..into the unknown.
This is a sequence of me & my older sister. My dad used to take forever to get set up to take a picture, which generally meant we were all grumpy looking by the time the picture got taken... As you can see, I didn't really have the patience for the picture taking

Oh God, I LOVE the face in the second picture. That's a hoot.
Yeah, don't you love us in our panties out in the yard? Squeezing a kitten and sitting on a giant watermelon that my grandmother grew herself. Made sure I had my shoes on, because, unlike my cousins, I lived in Chicago, not rural Arkansas. My dad always called that hat a Chinamen's hat. I don't know if that's an inappropriate term or not. I wish I still had that hat, though!
It's a classic, that photo.

OMG! divingbiker - are we related ? ? ? ?
If I saw those pics laying around our house I would think they are me, my sister and my cousin. The one in the wagon looks like my older sister, the older one in the chair me and the little one my cousin.
UNREAL
I wish I had pics to share but they are all at my mom's and I won't be there until this summer :(
Eclectic, ask your mom to scan one of them for us, I want to see.
What great photos. I love Clock's photo, so proper and british, and Catriona, you look like you were an entertaining little kid. Lisa, you look just as I imagined, and so many of you just have naughty looks on your faces!
Ok...I'll play!
The first one is me on my roller skates. We were living in Eugene, OR, and this was around 1974, maybe?
The second one is me in my halloween costume. We were in Nyssa, OR, and it was 1975.
The third one is me and my baby sister. This was around the start of school, September 1976. My dad had just gotten stationed at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. We lived in Bossier City in some apartments before we bought our first house. I remember I loved that polka-dot dress. I wore it for school photos and ended up having a bloody nose that day. My dress was ruined. I was so embarrassed! I think the sun must've been in my eyes in this picture, hence the wink. :p
A Wonder Bread dress :D
Is that baby wearing a garter?
That is one triangular baby! :D
This explains a lot. I fell on my head after the shutter clicked:rolleyes:

I'm being the responsible big sister here

Bruno hasn't changed a bit!
Lisa, that picture where you said you were freezing on the step... it looks suspiciously like me at that age! Well, I guess it's the styles, since we're the same age. I will scan and post later.
And Clock, I wore white gloves, right up through about 1966-67 when I was going to lots of Bar Mitzvah parties and other times I had to dress up to go into Boston.
Of course, about a year later I was in my Landlubber bell bottoms, with the black turtleneck and long dangly silver earrings!
[QUOTE=newfsmith;402110]Here are 2 of me, umbrella photo was the spring I was 3. The other is of my one-room schoolmates. I was in first grade along with Jimmy the boy in the bib overalls in the front row. I'm to Jimmy's left. We were dressed up for the picture, notice how everyone (except my brother, in the middle row) has their shirt buttoned right to the top.
Sorry about that, much nashing of teeth later I finally got the original scans re-sized. Here you go. Thanks for the headsup wackyjacky. First one, 1950; classroom, 1953.
Wow, great classroom picture. Back in the days of real wood floors, real leather shoes and real blue jeans. Ahhh...I remember it well! :p
I noticed the flag has 48 stars- in 1959 they added Alaska and Hawaii and had to change the star pattern on the flag.
Seeing as mom already posted pictures of her (Duck) and her sister (Trek), I thought I'd post some of me too. Don't have any of me biking, but here I am learning to ski like a true Norwegian. And looking very cool up at the cabin in summer. And one of me looking out for my brother. No idea how old I am in any of these, so mom will have to chime in with that information.
Gosh this is so great! i hope you all keep posting photo's. I got a few emailed to me today. Thank you!
This is on my company's website. We're a family company, and the three of us (me, my father and my brother) all work together now. This was taken in 1973 and was in the Boston Globe. I'll find some more soon.
Tulip- your father is Kurt Vonnegut! ;)
Thanks Clock for posting my pic! :)
Here I am with that same brother and my dad....

Oh my gosh, I just love all the pictures posted here!! Thanks to everyone for posting. I wish I had some of me...all at my mom's. :)
Front Page Newspaper pic of me competing in a chess match (I lost...) WOW! I just saw the image of SilverSon in this picture! except, you can see my ears!
http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...hamNewsPho.jpg
Okay, Mr. Silver, I've been picturing you as a little blond kid for a long time, now. That chess player can't be you! lol.
Karen
Great Pics you all. I have to go digging and find some myself. However, I'm going to Santa Paula CA for a few days here, be back next week. I hope to have some after that.
