So sad. My heart goes out to you.:(:(
Lovelygamer,
We rarely expect such bad news without any warning. The hurt you feel, the guilt of what ifs and the grief you are experiencing says that you are very kind caring and compassionate person. It's okay to cry a good cry. It's okay to feel the grief you are going through. We all understand and sympethize deeply with your loss and we all share the pain. We all have been down that road. It's always with deep heart and much saddness.
Your best cat had her best life with you. The two of you shared the best lives together. Its only befitting that you are placing her photos as a memorial.
When you are ready, a cat or kitten will pick you.
Peace be with you,
Shawn
I'm so sorry :( It seems like some forms of cancer can be so quick in cats. Give yourself time to heal, and another cat will find you when you're ready.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your feelings are completely understandable -- I was almost in tears reading your post and remembering years ago when I didn't realize my cat was very sick.
She had love and a good life, and you were with her and loving her at the end. I hope happy memories bring you peace.
(((HUGS))) I'm so sorry.
Thank you everyone. It's been just over a week. I pick up her ashes tonight. My last crying jag was two nights ago but I'm hoping it gets better from her on out. I'm considering visiting the Humane Society next week to look at kittens.
I have planned a long weekend away with my boyfriend -who I don't get to spend much time with. He is my refuge right now so that will be nice. I appreciate your thoughts and comments.
I'm so sorry for your loss. What a pretty kitty.
Oh, so sorry. :( I had to say goodbye to my Kelly-boo lab a few months ago due to illness and it tore me up. I still cry. It has helped a bit knowing that his ashes are in a beautiful wood urn with a plaque and photo and that he is still here with me. Yes, a memorial with some photos is a good way to honor her life and the joy she gave to you.
It is ok to be human and grieve. Give yourself that time. Our furry friends give so much more than they can possibly receive in such a short time, that by the time we realize the gift we have been given, it's gone.
