She does beautiful work.
Yay wow!
A world of possibilities - 1/2 a world away!
And even someones had my cherry blossom idea...so I am on track!
Margo, I would bet you a gazillion dollars that if you came here for tattoo work there would be several Seattle TE'ers who would clamor to take you in during the process. :D
Beautiful work! I've a large phoenix on my back what was done by a tattooist from Hawaii - it was done 16-17 years ago and the color is about as vibrant as it was then. If I can figure out how to take a picture of it will post it...sadly it wasn't $60, but she wanted to do it so badly that she made me a fantastic deal. At the time the tattoo "fad" in Tennessee was either a skull/crossbones or a comic strip character...
The artwork on Two Birds Tattoo is gorgeous. Makes me want more ink.
I got my first tattoo a couple of months ago. It's a Korean style phoenix with some Rose of Sharons (Roses of Sharon?) around it. I'll have to get Dh or DSS to take a more recent picture of it. The original pic has some oozing spots showing.
My tat is finally in the nearly healed stage.
(For the red inked areas. The black inked areas healed weeks ago.)
It appears that I am one of those unfortunate souls who heal v...e...r...y slowly with colored inks.
All future tattoos will be strictly black inks.
So what do I get next?
A giant scrimshaw sailing ship across my back? A pin-up girl on my bicep? (she'd have to be a thin and anorexic one to fit on my wimpy bicep!) A tramp-stamp globe showing the Pacific ocean? An electron microscope picture of a diatom? Big 'ol anchor on my shoulder? Old Norse runes spelling my name?
Hmmm....
AWWWWW.....SHUCKS....
the thing is (as I told Knotted in a PM) the SO (a Real Man ) actually fruck out to the point of trembling and had to stop driving and take a 1/2 a clonex to get over the Panic Attack of thinking of more pain and cutting and healing after all the surgeries, chemo vein punctures and the Port (a-Cath) and radiation burns.
So I've sort of shelved the plan in the meantime as it was never important enough to cause that level of distress. Tho' he recovered to stammer "Of course it's your body"; presumably terrified i'd react with that good ol' feminist stand-by!
Cancer takes people different ways and you never know till you or someone you love comes out with them. Kind of a post-trauma reaction, I guess
Hmmmm . . . I'm going to hold this thread responsible for my getting a new tat. I've been thinking about it for months, and on a sudden whim had it done on Monday! Knot, I'm sure you've been warned about what happens once you get that ink in your blood? You just can't stop!
Got the plan. Gonna start the rough outlines. Covering the full back, or just half? Upper half or lower half?
It's a bit more complex than my first tattoo, so I'll have Ruby do it: http://twobirdstattoo.com/artists/ruby
