What a sweetie!
Don't worry - the whole birth will soon be your Girls' Night Story.
Yeah, I had that cord + dropping heart-rate thing with DS#2. Was too Stuffed and B-ggered to understand the significance of it all when the midwife was saying "You have to get him out in the next push". Took me *four* more. It was about 5 years later that the SO happened to mention it and described how when his head came out the midwife untangled his cord and I said "Whaaaaat! I didn't know that!" and the fluorescent finally lit up
gee, I don't think Xeney has been back since her last post on the episiotomy thread!
CONGRATULATIONS Xeney!!:D
Xeney, what a wonderful baby girl you have. Congratulations!:D
Does anyone know how to get in touch with Xeney?
LOL... and then she'll be 19 (like mine!)
Seriously - babies are a wonderful way to start people
Congratulations - aside from finding each other, the births of our children are the most wonderful things to ever happen to my partner and I.
Relish each day - even the tired ones - every day is a gift.
Hi, everyone, and thank you! What a nice welcome for Penelope. And thank you, Mimi, for reminding me of this thread! I did see it right after you started it but that was back before I learned how to type while the baby nurses. I have a lot of unanswered email from that period because I can't type one-handed. Or no-handed.
Things are great -- she is fantastic, a happy and easy baby who slept through the night for the first time last night at nine weeks. She's still pretty small for her age but she's catching up. Daddy is sure she's going to be a physicist and a mountain biker and possibly a rockstar.
Here she is with Daddy, about a month ago:

She laughs all the time. I am pretty sure I took this one during one of my workouts, which crack her up because I am so out of shape and yet I always tell her how strong Mommy is. She knows better:

Here we are at the river last weekend:

Here she is looking like an elf:

And here she is this weekend at the farmer's market, all snuggled up with her pink bicycles:

Awwww, how adorable! What is it about a baby that just gets the maternal instincts going, lol. Enjoy her Xeney, she is sooo precious!!
great pictures! i love the blanket. She's an adorable child. Don't worry about her being small. That means your back won't go out as fast..
My sons were both small too. They're both grown up now and are of quite normal sizes.
Beautiful child!!! Thanks for sharing those great pictures.
How did I miss this thread?
This is a wonderful little girl! Congratulations!!
Gorgeous!!
Don't worry about small. I had 2 of our 3 born under 3 kg/ 6 1/2 lbs. Now 20 and 18 yrs old. .Anyway, small babies do all the motor stuff faster 'coz there is less mass to motor-ize you geddit. They also look more intelligent.
Enjoy her, they are tiny for such a short time.
What a cutie!!
Enjoy.:)
Oh she is gorgeous!! I am pretty sure she will be a brain surgeon or a rockstar! How funny. :D
