Sorry! I wanted to see if i was the only freak who did this on a regular bases. I have so much scaring on the inside of my cheek and tongue. Sometimes i swear I am trying to hurt myself. It seems to happen when i am really hungry and i eat to fast. But this spleen thing is very interesting.
I was just tryig to see if this was common. Told you it was a weird one.
I didn't want to put my stories in first. I wanted to hear what everyone was going to say first. I wish I had a reason for it. I just feel i do it to much.

I avoid cold foods, but have a bit of a problem with sweet.
My tongue isnt swollen; but I am not sure about my spleen.
Brandi, I bite my tongue, i bite my lip, i bite the sides of my mouth.
I have two wisdom teeth left. I used to have three but the biting the side of the mouth thing got so bad (I would have to extricate my cheek from between my teeth when i got up) that i had that 3rd wisdom tooth pulled.
so, would biting one's cheeks have something to do with low kidney energy;) ?
The Spleen is on the left side of the body behind the stomach.
I sometimes bite my lip too. Don't bite my cheek anymore - haven't got enough teeth to do that with now:p
I'll go through weird spells where I have a lot of cheeky accidents.:p It's like I suddenly get clumsy about chewing, especially when eating fast, and my jaw will sort of start to wobble. Sometimes I can even tell a split-second before it happens, and then suddenly "CHOMP!!!!!"
Of course, then the bitten cheek gets swollen and rebitten a few times for the next few days. Then, just as randomly, I might go months without an accident.
It's a family thing in my house! Not only do I bite the inside of my mouth, but my three children do it as well...sometimes drawing blood. When everyone lived at home it would be unusual if we could get through a meal without one of us suddenly flinching and following it up with a yelp. My husband never bites the inside of his mouth. Lucky him. He is obviously not related to me.
I'm a cheek biter, but not a tongue biter. I thought this was fairly normal. I just do it without even thinking about it.. For something to do, I guess!
I'm a cheek biter-not hard biting, more like nervous habit biting. My dentist has implied that this is related to the jaw grinding I do in my sleep. I try to chew a lot of gum to avoid chomping on my cheek and to hopefully tire out my jaw muscles so I don't grind so much in my sleep.
Hmmmmm maybe that's it. I grind my teeth big time in my sleep. I had to get a guard made just for that and it also caused me to have TMJ. I don't chew a lot of gum because that also causes TMJ for me.. Just didn't realize that I might chew my gums from grinding my teeth!
Ok so i am not a freak! That is a good thing. My husband thought it was strange that I do it so much.
