All right, Sliver! So good to hear from you, yourself. As Triskielion said, many of us have been in your shoes (out of commission for healing). The time may seem long at first, but it will go by surprisingly quickly. giving your body the time it needs to heal is so vital. My best wishes a and hopes are with you!

Home
Home is a wonderful place. My place. My things. My rooms. My surroundings. My books. My couch. My bed. My sheets. My refrigerator. My life. My new bike in the room with me. My get-well cards. My pictures. My peace and quiet at night. My schedule. My sweet front door.
I am so very glad to be home . . .
I hope you're home soon.

It's a process, Silver; but you get there.
Patience; and remember you are On the Way
Hope you get home soon. Hospitals are good for what they're good for; but home is the Best.
How's the pain?
In my prayers

Update
Oops ran out of computer battery power.......
I believe that God wrapped His arms around me turned us upside down and landed us on the part of my body that could most handle the impact. I landed on the back of my head, the right side of my upper back and my right flank (hip)
I imagine that I was stillin a crouch position with the bike still in my hands. On impact the bike most have flung up and over me. then I rolled. Sky....asphalt,....sky....asphalt...sky...asphalt with arms in between. I ended my roll sitting up. Thinking.....OH MY God!! Ok I'm still alive......Oh my, my back hurts....My breath is gone. I think that I'll just lay back.
I slowly rolled back and see the one of the riders ahead is running up toward me. I remember wondering why she wasn't riding back to me.
I never lost consciousness but don't rmember the pain of the impact.
several people then gathered around me and began to assess my condition. I was so upset that I had interupted the othres ride and that I had called attention to myself. I hated the commotion that I was causing. But I knew that I was hurt and was going to have to go to the hospital. The worst pain that I had was the pain from my upper right back. I didn't even realize that I had a huge HUGE, hemetomia on my right hip.
But as you all have heard, I'm home now. I'm doing very well. The biggest problem now is how to deal with the pain of 5 broken ribs. I need to get off the pain meds as soon as possible because I can't drive with them.
I can't sit here at the computer too much longer now. I'll try to check back later. You gals are the greatest!!! Tahks a million times for your encouragement!!!!!
