I'm late, too. Maybe I was hoping another day or two would change something! 167 yet again.

UGH, 175.6 for me. I've got to get myself out of the depression rut I'm in, it leads to me eating without thinking and lounging around doing nothing. I did ride 30 miles on Saturday, mainly to go get meds for my dying cat (yeah, that isn't helping the depression thing very much). Now, why didn't I get back out and do something on Sunday, nope, just laid around all day again.
188 this week for me
71.3 miles. Finally, back to 'normal'!
I only eat what I can bike home with me. That seems to work...
I've been out of town all weekend on a bike trip, but I did weigh myself Friday - 131, down 1/2 pound.
Even though I rode 103 miles over the three days, I also did a lot of eating, thanks to wonderful rest stops and nice dinners, so it'll be interesting to see what my next weigh-in is.
Hey all!
My weigh in for this week was 163.5 - so my little bump up last week was only temporary. Thank goodness! I did get in one commute last week - so my miles were at 40 for the week. I hope to do two commutes this week. :)
Congratulations to Mr SR500, martinkap and mydisneydollars for all making their goal weights last week!!! That's fanstastic work, you three!
And lets all give a little push to BikerJo and tctrek who are very close to making their own goals. Almost there!!
Here's the updated chart:
http://www.tranquilitysystems.com/ga...5_original.jpg
After only one week in strict phase 1, I started adding back in grains and fruits (phase 2). I've had two weeks of not-so-good eating, but when I'm on track, I do eat fruit, some whole grain breads/pita, and oats. Like Jobob, I still avoid pasta and I rarely eat sugar anymore. Even when I'm not sneaking in dark chocolate covered almonds :o, I really don't feel like I'm missing out much when eating this way.
awesome chart thanks!
It is Thursday and I think this will be my best weight! I made it below 118!!! Actually 117.8. I would LOVE to use today's weight. That being said I'll be a good girl and weigh again tomorrow to "confirm" (hopefully) that I have broke the boundary!:)
Been trying to be really good. IT is soooooo hard!
Hope everyone else is having a good week. I'll be back in the AM tomorrow for the official number!
118.8 must be my normal friday weight.
I was on travel for the past week and a half, so was unable to weigh myself for the Friday, August 8 report. So that there's no blank spot on the chart for that date, I'll say there was no change in my weight from the previous week. Am hoping for a downward change tomorrow morning.
August 8: No change
Weighing in early as I am going to be out of town. Weight up to 149:( I have tried so hard, nothing seems to work. Maybe my body just likes this weight.
I recall reading that there are some mechanisms the body has for holding on to a weight, making it easier to gain than to lose. Losing tends to go in thresholds, where you can lose a bit, then your body hangs on at that level for a while. You have to keep at it ("it" being more exercize, less calory intake) and eventually you start on another step downwards.
Thank you gals for keeping me at it. I seem to have finally broken through the 180-pound glass floor. 178 this morning! Woohoo!
Ladies, I'm sorry I missed last Friday. I was a the hospital all day doing pre-op stuff and never got to it and then had surgery on Monday. I am still doing this if I can, I will weigh in again this Friday. I hope it's okay I missed one week.
DDH -- I hope you are recovering well from your surgery! Please take care of yourself!
I didn't do quite as well as planned this week. Got lots of miles in on the bike, but also got lots of cake and ice cream in after the rides. Up to 202.6 this week.
Weighing in very happily this morning at 180. Down 2.6 lbs. I had a long ride last saturday and everyday I either bike / walk. I am going to push myself a bit harder this week to break through the 170's! People are starting to notice my body changing and that keeps me motivated .. as well as all of you! 2 weeks left of this challenge!
Hey Ladies,
Sorry I have disappeared and not kept up the exercise log. As I said a couple weeks ago, issues with parents ... my father was diagnosed with lung cancer and with mom's memory issues, my sister and I are having problems getting information. They live in Florida, I live in Ohio, my sister lives in California. Anyway, I've got more on my plate than I want and haven't been able to check in on a regular basis. Sorry.
I know I didn't weight in last week, but this week I am down to 131. I've cut 10 minutes off my 'usual mtb ride' since mid July ... yea me!
I'll get back with you all soon.
PJ
186.4 lbs
Seems I've been eating like crazy lately - building winter fat I guess. Gotta stop!
I've been very stressed lately, and i dropped two pounds 98...ok not maintaining at all :(
157lbs... thanks for keeping the chart
Martina
226 - finally budging! Of course, I think losing my appetite from a cold might have had something to do with it. Ah well - I'll take it any way I can:)

133.8 this morning. I suspect it is water weight loss because I was working in the yard yesterday sweating buckets. I was drinking water all day as well, but woke up in the middle of the night parched, so I know I'm a bit dehydrated. Still, it was nice to see a number lower than usual, so for the moment, I'm happy.
159.5 this morning!!!!! YAY!!!!! Finally broke the 160 barrier. This is the first time I've seen the 150s in about 6 years. :D
GLC, thanks as always for the awesome chart. My goal for this challenge was to drop 5 pounds, so 158.
Down to 179 this morning :) . . . hope to stay on this downward roll.
I knew this AM would proably NOT be good like Thursday.
That being said who knows which weight is right? I feel pretty good and I want to KEEP my weight yesterday as the weight to record--117.8 (it is not like I will win so I don't think I am cheating!)
Even if it is a "fluke" like a previous time I lost...then maybe it will really prompt me to remain really good so I DON'T go back up.
So I am sticking w/ my 117.8 to record and next week we will know for sure. If I go back up then NEVER again will I record a weight that I have not seen at least 2 days in a row or at least in teh same few days!
This fluctuation thing is hell! Also 2 folks at gym could tell my running and working out was making a difference...they could tell by looking at me...so maybe I'll see 117.8 or less again!

147.5 for me this morning. And that is after downing bottles of water after forgetting to hydrate during this morning's run.
I was a bit depressed earlier in the week because the scale went all the way up to 151. I want to stay faaaar away from the 150s!
Well -- not good news on my front. I had a good exercise and decent food week in general, and feel good about what I'm doing.
However..... I'm up again... 168.6. I almost died when I saw that this morning! Wow... I really have been coasting too much. Time to get more serious!
If we are still keeping track: I ran 10 miles this week, walked 6.5, biked 30. Boot Camp -- two hours (oh, it hurts!). Swam 800m.
154 for me :) Happy with that as i had aweful cold this week and haven't done any cycling............. looks like the weather dicates a indoor session with Coach Troy today :D
First day of spring soon......... bring it on !
Holding at 137.5 lbs this week. Hope to lower that number next week.
Sigh. I just can't budge. Still at 143.8. I'm forming some better habits though, so I know I can break the plateau eventually!
Up yet again to 173.6. :(:(:(
Yikes! Up for me - 141, (that time of the month you know). I actually had it coming, I've been nothing but bad!
I'm sorry I didn't show up last week. I've moved to hostel at Uni and have had no access to a weighing scale. On top of that I had some inflammation of my tendons in my foot and whatnot and have not been able to ride much. It's better now but for four days I couldn't really walk. I've definitely put on weight. sigh.. I don't even want to know how much.. feels like 5 or 6 lbs. I think I will go buy a weighing scale now. I feel like there is a plot against me exercising because now i'm also having bike troubles. Something to do wht the bottom bracket. So I'll just have to wait it out. At this point things can only get better.
Up to 142. I don't know why I'm going the wrong way! My DH says I'm not eating enough for the amount of calories I burn, but I haven't really changed anything and suddenly started gaining. Back to the drawing board for a new strategy.

176, down 1 lb, headed in the right direction
174.
no change this week.
130 lbs this week, happy with that, it seems that muscle has really taken over as my clothes are a tad too big :D
I'm back from vacation. It was absolutely wonderful!!
Weight is up to 143.8 - lots of drinking and eating -
But definitely worth it!!!
Time to get back on plan...
Lynette
I'm back up 1/2 pound, to 131-1/2, but at least it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Have to get back on track for next week.
184 so I'm up. I forgot to weigh myself on friday and had a triathlon yesterday so maybe that's why? I tend to retain fluid or fat or something after intense exercise and I weighed myself today.
Now I start marathon training so maybe THAT will inspire my body to behave :D
My weigh-in for this week was 163.8. I need to get the scale moving again if I hope to make my goal - so I'm going back to South Beach somewhere between phase 1 and phase 2. Basically, phase 1 with fruit. ;) H is out of town for the week, so it'll be easier to stick to my plans without his influence!
I did bike over the weekend (25 miles) and I had one commute last week so my total miles was 65. I hope to break 100 this coming week.
Only two more weeks left!! (and a bunch of us must be on vacation this week - lots of missing numbers so far...)
