You can't take anything with you, can you?
Her life was such a train wreck, but I just feel sorry for her newborn girl. Really sad, actually.
What a bizarre life. Her 85 yo husband dies (OK that was in the plan I'm sure) then her 60 yo stepson who is suing her for his Dad's money dies, then she gives birth and her son dies in front of her the next day and now she dies.
wow. i thought you were joking at first, i had to check cnn.
i wonder if it was the trimspa?
Who cares? Sorry to be rude but  just another hollywood freak.
c
+1!
I agree she was a bit of a freak... but there are still people who loved her and are hurting because of this. Sad for sure. Especially for the 5 mo old baby. :(
Poor baby, nobody seems to be sure who the father is.
Hopefully she'll be able to grow up OUTSIDE the limelight.
Maybe the babies life will be a little better. her mom was really messed up. Not that I think her not having her mom is a good thing. But look how messed up her son was. Maybe this baby will have more of a chance you know? I sometimes wish i had a different mom. But then again my life is really good now and maybe if I had not gone through the things with her I did things would be a lot different now and I wouldn't want my life any different then it is now.
I can't say I saw this coming. But I can't say I'm surprised, either.
it is sad ... what a messed-up life!
if only she had learned to ride a bike ... :)
I was shocked when I heard the news driving home from work tonight. I had a a bit of an interest in her and watched her reality show when it was on -- in the wide-opened-eyes way you'd watch a train wreck. I think it was her huge weight fluctuations and really off-the-wall behavior (gotta be drug induced) that had me wondering about her and what was really going on in her mind. Her poor baby daughter without even a confirmed father.
I will be interested to know what the cause of death was. I'm thinking either a drug overdose (maybe taken to blot the pain of her son's death) or heart problems caused by the rapid/extreme weight loss.
I'm a little shocked that anyone here would say "who cares". Her life is over; she has family and friends who care very much. No matter what else she was, she was a human being and at least deserves a modicum of respect in her death - as I hope we all do.

Unfortunately for her daughter, it will still be a circus.
There are still two men claiming to be the father. They both want custody, because there's umpteen millions of dollars at stake for whoever gains control.
Neither one of the reputed fathers probably cares an iota about the daughter.
It looks like another tragedy in the making.

My first reaction was "well...finally!" who could continue the poisoning a human body like that without consiquences? I am amazed she made it this far...and how is that baby? any side-effects there?
I do feel for those who cared for her...death is death and pain is associated with death...I just hope they all find peace in this somehow! 'cause she left a huge web of legal issues behind!!!
NOW...to prove the chain of gossip that will be started I have to share what my colleague said when I came into work...all of which on speculation but said with a factual tone of voice:
1 - she died of a heartattack (the otopsy has not been done yet!!! how did this person get such info when NO ONE ELSE KNOWS!!!)
2 - Trimspa drugs are the cause. WHAT??? again...how is person privvy to this truth when no one else is???
3 - Anna and her son, Daniel, were romantically involved and the baby, Daniellyn, is a product of their relationship....UH???
Now that is just 3 speculation by someone who spends little time outside and lives most of his life through TV...
UUUUGH!!!!
OK...i have gotten that out...now I can move on with my little life of no fame and go ride my bike!!!
Peace to her family and hopes of not having to watch any-and-all-Anna on the news for months to come...
wow bouncy you have some good gossipers in your office!
HAHA...no kidding!!! Wonder what else he has said about who knows what??? He is kinda a political big mouth...geez...what can I believe anymore???
OH...and TOTALLY off topic: at Home Depot I saw lightswitch plates, plug-in plates & various other things with your avatar on it!!! I saw them and immediately thought of someone on TE but could not think who it was...now I know! hehe :D
It is pretty sad that she died. Death is a hard issue to confront, especially if it's sudden, such as the case. But, what I thought immediately afterward was, no matter the fame and fortune and riches, they won't take care of the problems that one has. I had a hard life growing up and wished for all of those things but now that I'm older (and mayber a little wiser:rolleyes: ), there's more to life than that and if we did have those things, would they help us with our issues? Most likely not.
Tragic... but not completely unexpected...
I am very saddened by her death. I believe she is in Heaven now, with her son.
If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!
Peace & Love,
Denise
I think it is very tragic. I used to watch her show after working a crummy job, it was frivalous but it was a fun 30 minutes of mindless tv. Her antics (whether staged, drug induced or just her) made me giggle. She was a terribly troubled person and all the money in the world couldn't help her in the end.
Whether she was a tabloid circus act or not, she died leaving a family. It is sad and since she was famous it is considered news these days. Yes celebrity news gets way too much press in mainstream media, but she was still a human being and at the end of the day that is what makes this so sad.
Now to add to media circus- Gsa Gsa Gabor's husband is saying he might have fathered the baby. Goodness- who is going to claim the baby next?
Excuse me? did I read this right?
http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/02/09/pr....ap/index.html
Von Anholt (Gabor's husband) was sleeping with Anna Nicole Smith, and considered *adopting* her? But Zsa Zsa wouldn't sign the adoption papers?
What!!?!?!?!?
Fergawdsakes, gimme Daniellyn, split her millions 3 ways and give it to these 3 weird men, and let me raise the poor baby girl in my semi-normal world!
....would trek be okay with that, Knot?
Very sad, first thing I thought was combination of whatever drugs she may have been on for the depression of losing her son AND possibly post partum depression with her new daughter, possibly combined with the unhealthy trim spa yo-yo dieting etc.
It's a sad thing that her new baby daughter is going to be in a tug of war with any number of men now that are trying to come forth to claim the potential fortune Anna was still fighting to get from her late elderly husband. I hope they can find someone to take care of the baby girl and she not be caught in the middle of the media circus.
The more I see of this whole mess, the more I feel sorry for the baby. How could she ever have a normal life?
I saw this break on our morning news last week, even saw the press conference. Seems as though noone knows anything.
I've always tried to turn off the TV or change channels when someone like her came on, INFAMOUS rather than famous. (same goes for Paris Hilton... and this crop of gossip mag "A-listers" who I honestly don't care about their shananigans.
However I do feel for her daughter. The poor baby is going to grow up and one day stumble upon all these old media reports about her mum. AND not be able to talk to her about it to get the "why she did it" side out of her. She can't even talk to her brother!
I hope Anna Nicole finds peace because she certainly didn't have it while she was alive.
Sadly, it's hard to believe the baby will even be normal, considering all the alcohol, pills, drugs, and crash diets her mother has been on for years. Seems to me her mother was so completely out of control with substance abuse that it's pretty unlikely she was "clean" all through her pregnancy. All these things certainly effect a developing baby in utero. :(
That's good to know Duck because while everyone is looking all over the place for Anna Nicole's baby don't tell anyone but secretly I'm the father and have the kid right here shhhhhh.
i knew it!
This whole circus about that poor self-abusing woman is so sad and lame.
Today's headlines happened to be positioned right next to each other in the "entertainment news" webpage:
Battle Over the Body
and
Beyonce's Bangin' Body in Bikini
The first article concerning the battle over who gets to have former Playmate Anna Nicole's now slowly decomposing body to bury.
The second article about singer Beyonce's bikini pictures on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Apparently a woman's body is a hot commodity whether it's alive or dead.
It is unbelievable to me how pathetic and distorted our country's culture is when it comes to women's bodies. Whatever happened to women as whole human beings?- are only their bodies worthy of marketing these days? :(
So sad. And what kind of message does all this send to young people?
It's a truly screwed up society where the absolute worst thing one girl can say to another is "you're fat" and the worst thing one boy can say to another is "you're gay".
It's up to us, the adults, to change this. We have to stop obsessing about our weight and focus on health, we have to let people know it's NOT ok to say "that's so gay" when referencing something negative. We have to set the example that treating each other with kindness and respect is the expected behavior.
I work with teenagers often, and I'll hear them say "gay" as a pejoritive (generally meaning "stupid"). A couple times I've said "No, *I'm* gay, that's 'stupid'." Seems to work nicely.
Sknot doesn't let his friends use "gay" like that.
