Wow! What a great family--Tri-riffic!!! Wish I had more athletic moments with my family. My Mom was a PE teacher, but having that last surprise baby at 41 knocked the wind out of her sails. So I'm working on my sons for future family adventures!!!

adding to the family members who do tris, my three little cousins (7, 10, 11 years) are all doing their first Kids of Steel tri today. My Mum went to cheer them along. Their Dad, my Uncle is thinking of doing Ironman in two years as well! My mum definately got the ball rolling on this one! Her two kids, her sister, one of her brothers, and three of her nieces/nephews!

Hold out hope for those kids, I used to say its "just" a triathlon too! Kids love to be active, and are just looking for outlets for all that pent up energy. Why on earth my whole family took to triathlon specifically is beyond me! While its great that we can do it together, the important part is that we are all being active. Encouraging your family and friends to live healthy and active lives is of the greatest importance... maybe after that they will see how awesome tris are;)Quote:

I'm giving him an exercise ball and some small free weights, because he goes straight for mine when he comes over here.
