I will be visiting Rochester shortly and want to know if there is a bike shop there that is definitely worth a visit. I can't say I need anything in particular but items are generally less expensive in the States and if I'm already in the area ...

I feel compelled (years after this thread) to mention that although Park Ave Bike has two locations, one location is FAR SUPERIOR. The Monroe Ave (where the people with money in Rochester go) location has very poor customer service and many of their salespeople do not know what they are talking about. Believe me, they do not act like a LBS at the Monroe location because they don't need to. Tons of customers looking to buy expensive toys there so they have no incentive to do a great job.Quote:

I am so glad I had Glenn fit me and readjust my bike as well as measure me for a new saddle - it made a huge difference. As a side note all of the bikes sold at the Monroe location are actually built at the Henrietta location because they have a much bigger warehouse. If you want to test out bikes you'd be better off going to Henrietta where they will either have the bikes built already or build them for you to test out.
