Water Polo anyone?

Just wondering if you've ever participated in Water Polo. I'm curious about the benefits for my swimming & cycling.

I recently met a nice chick at my pilates studio that's on a lower grade water polo team here & it got me a thinkin..

Any info would be great. I don't know if i'll join this coming season but it's something to look at for the blech rainy months!

I have never played water polo on a team but have played a few times with friends, who all played in college. I am much (20 years) older than they are. It was sooooo much fun. I don't think WP will benefit your biking much but it should help your swimming. There are lots of sprints to get the ball, lots of treading water. WP is very aggressive and being in the pool with aggressive swimmers has to help, at least mentally with big group starts and people touching and grabbing you during open water swims.
I wish we had adult water polo here.
