Hi Ladies -
I hope this is the right forum for this question.
I started cycling ( road cycling )serioulsly last summer, managed to pull myself up Alpe d'huez and the Galibier as a reward in october, but that was soon followed by not 1 but 2 fractures on my left wrist. Since I am back on the bikes i have been training quite a bit, a lot on the Fixed gear bike, but also quite a lot on hills on my road bike. I am not the best climber, so I have been focussing a lot on that. I have cycled about 2100km since I am back on the bike this february after the injuries.
I wouldn't be the thinnest cyclist of all, I am 1,53metres for 63kg at the moment. ( that's 5 foot / 138pounds ) I wear a Sz 6/8US (10UK/38 France) Quite well proportioned if I may say so myself.
I have not gained any weight at all since i was off this winter, my weight remained the same, but I am a lot more toned than I was even last summer cycling. Just one thing tho, I can't get into my clothes anymore, they're all too tight around the bum, I think ,bum and thighs have tripled volume since last summer.
I am thinking the increase in training that i am doing on hills ( all my training has been on hilly terrain ) has made my glute and thighs bigger ... I was told once by a gym instructor that it was riskyy for me to cycle as my body type would give me 'big' muscles ... and as a cyclist, it's quite inevitable that I will be using my legs.
I am not a massive eater but I do allow myself some substancial meals when i am out for epic rides...
Anyone else has the same problem. I am a bit concerned I am getting too big.
...help
