don't feel bad, i put them on and they wouldn't stay on!! they rolled down like old fashioned boot tops.
I have a pair of one-size-fits-all wool knee warmers that I can use like full leg warmers or like knee warmers, depending on how I pull them on and bunch them up. Pretty handy. And I'm 5'7" with a 32 inch inseam. I also have a pair of lycra knee warms in my size that are only knee warmers.
So enjoy you knee/leg warmers, paigette.
I am short, too...and though trying to loose weight is one of my biggest priorities, I am on the heavy side. I love summer time, when cropped pants are available...I don't have to hem them and they are the perfect length for me. My bike tights have easily, an extra 8 inches in length...bummer!!! I thought about getting knee warmers, but whats the use, they'd be way too long...sleeves are a problem, too...
I have given up on knee warmers. I bought a pair of Terry regular leg warmers that actually fit, without the 8 extra inches (well maybe a couple). I have a pair of tights by Hind that also fit perfectly. They are not padded, so i can wear them for other activities. The ones I got first, from Nashbar are huge on me. I also have a pair of Ibex wool tights for x country skiing. They also fit well and I wear them mtbiking and for the winter road rides I do once in awhile.
I'm pretty short also. How far up do you pull the knee warmers? I put my knee warmers on first, pull them up pretty high, then put my shorts over. There is a pretty good overlap between the two and I think that is pretty normal.Quote:

How high to pull them up? They should go right up to the top of your thigh --- this will keep them in place so they won't fall down below your shorts. Oh, and they go under your shorts (not over your shorts).
edit: I meant that if you're too short or thin for traditional knee or leg warmers, put the arm warmers on your legs. Yeah, they work good on your arms too!
FWIW, the Voler knee warmers are really short, much shorter than the comparable PI ones. I have short stubby legs and the length is fine (though I rarely wear them and instead opt for knickers if it's 50-60 F).
I find if I accidentally pull them up too high they chafe :eek: - about two inches from my crotch is about where the safe zone ends. It still leaves me plenty of overlap so I don't have a cold patch of skin sticking out.Quote:

Velo-couldn't agree more!!! I LOVE my arm warmers. When it gets toasty, you can roll them down. If you get cold again, just roll them back up! They fit nicely in the back jersey pocket too.Quote:
