I see from another post that you are doing a century this weekend, and since you're from Maryland, I thought it might be the Seagull Century.
I'm trying not to get bummed about the weather. It's not looking good at this point, but the forecast keeps changing so who really knows.
Yup, I'm doing it. Several folks on the TE list here are doing it as well.
Yeah, weather is going to be a factor (again). But I don't think it will be as bad as last year - Tropical Storm Tammy = 7 inches of rain and 30 mph wind.
Remember, 40% chance of rain, means 60% chance it WON'T rain! :p
I've heard rain and wind for Saturday, unfortunately. A cold front is blowing in, too.
Forecast as of today is 66 degrees and 80% :eek: chance of rain. Yikes! Apparently I'm being forced to ride anyway... :o

And if it stops raining, where do I carry all this stuff? I told myself last year that I would NOT ride again with my camelback or a backpack....but it's looking like I might have to anyway. Grrr...so much for travelling lightly! I would REALLY like to do this ride in the sunshine! I did that in 2000 and it was awesome!

I know, the weather should be more predictable.
If anyone else is doing the ride with you (and driving separately), you could set shuttle at the 30 mile mark (i.e., go early and leave one of the vehicles at that spot). Then you when you get to that point on the bike route, you can reassess the weather and change if necessary. Of couse, it's really not looking like it'll clear up. :rolleyes:
