Kelly’s Ride is borrowing from the Romans in 2010 as we celebrate
our fifth anniversary, (as in the roman numeral V) for “victory” in this charity metric (with 45 and 25 mile alternatives), Saturday June 5, finishing in glorious Ocean City NJ, home of one of the nation’s best family beach resorts.

This event, the earliest metric charity ride of the summer cycling season is sponsored by Kelly’s Kids, Inc., an all-volunteer, 501c3 non profit foundation dedicated to helping little girls and young women in need, at risk or in danger locally and beyond. After a winter of white, we know cyclists are ready to get back on their bikes. Kelly’s Ride is capped at 500 riders, making it one of the most enjoyable, yet still challenging bike events of the year in the Philadelphia and southern NJ region.

Riders training for metrics later in summer or fall, or those just beginning to enjoy distance riding are invited to participate. Choosing either 65, 45 or 25 miles riders and their supporters raise money for little girls and young women in need, at risk, or in danger locally and beyond.

All proceeds raised from Kelly’s Ride benefit the following service organizations:
• Life Links Homes, (division of Robins’ Nest, Inc., Glassboro, NJ)
Providing independent living skills for children aging out of or
unable to remain in the foster care system.
• Amigos de Jesus Orphanage, Honduras Girls’ Home Project
• The Kelly Marie Vogdes Scholarship Fund, Philadelphia University

• NEW THIS YEAR! The Father Wasson Baby House, Haiti for newborns to children age 6.

In the past four years, Kelly’s Ride has donated over $200,000 to the above agencies, and has reached the goals set when the organization was founded in 2005, in memory of Kelly Vogdes of Cinnaminson, NJ.
