Calling all racing enthusiasts.... what is your favorite pedal? Pros/cons - cost, etc.....
I've been using Time Impact pedals on all my bikes so I don't have to change shoes. (Somehow I've only had one pair of cycling shoes for the past three years - sidi.) But recently after 10,000 miles on one set they pretty much bit the dust. Unfortunately Time has discontinued that specific model and I'm looking for something similar. Advantages: nice platform to clip into. Strong and NEVER pulled out - a must for any new pedals. Disadvantages - super spendy cleat replacement ($40 retail), a biaaaatch to get off my bike (I had to drive my bike into the shop to have them take them off).
I switched to Speedplay but find the super duper float too much and the cleat plat too hard to adjust to just right... it's making my left knee tender. Not to mention I'm not comfortable having float will sprinting - I feel like applying 1000 watts is going to blow up the pedals.
Any suggestions?
Muchos Gracias.
