free photo editing software

The Nik collection (https://www.google.com/nikcollection/) of photo editing plugin's for Photoshop, Lightroom, Elements and Aperture is now free. This suite of 7 editing plugin's has been one of the best available especially the Silver Efex for B/W and it was $150. For free it's a no-brainer to try out if you are using one of those 4 photo editing sources.

I had actually bought the plug-in suite just last month (after using the trial version for a month last year), and found out yesterday that it was now free when I got a refund email. I couldn't figure out at first why they were refunding my money - but very happy to get that $160 back! My photography-loving grad student daughter (who is on a student budget) was thrilled to hear the news too!
