If you have time, you may enjoy looking at the Scientifc American Best Illusion of the Year Contest entries. My daughter, Rosa Lafer-Sousa, is in the running for
‪#‎TheDress demo (picked as one of 10 finalists by a panel of international judges!). Voting started yesterday at 7PM EST and runs for 24 hours. June 11th (7PM) - June 12th (7PM). You can go to http://illusionoftheyear.com to view the illusions and vote on them. It's about the blue/black vs white/gold dress controversy. It hit social media like a storm. Rosa is a PhD student at MIT working on the neuroscience of vision, and got really excited that the illusion would be great for understanding aspects of color perception, so she created the illusion demo to use in a study that she just published in Current Biology http://www.cell.com/current-biology/abstract/S0960-9822(15)00535-7 which got picked up by the NYTimes, the Guardian, the LA Times, Cosmopolitan magazine, among a myriad of other media outlets. Thanks for looking!

Very cool, she did nice work!

Here's another illusion (http://www.wimp.com/culture/painting-mind/?utm_source=partner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=tse/&ts_pid=2/) (not part of the contest) I ran across today.
