This video has been making the interweb rounds today. I've watched it 4 times and I've teared up all 4.

Ok, I teared up, badly. Those cats were looking pretty disgruntled though :-D

I saw that a couple days ago. It's very sweet!

It also looks like it's filmed in one long shot. I can't find a splice. Nifty camerawork.

I noticed that too. Impressive!

Loved it. I had a smile the whole time. :) My pets (or is it us humans) are so lucky to have a home and being spoiled to the bone (I have 3 dogs and 3 cats!). Gotta cherish those good moments (although sometime...at my "zoo" I could rehome sometimes one or 2 or all, especially at 4am when they decide it's party time). LOL

What a timely thread. 2.5 weeks "Seven" joined our family.

Taken the night we brought her home.

Seven is named so for her 7 extra toes…3 on her left front paw, 2 on the right, and 1 ea. on her hind feet. Also because we're bike geeks.;)

We adopted Seven from a local rescue that would display some of their cats at a nearby Petco store. We recently lost our 15 year old boy and I made the "mistake" of just going to look. Seven reached a big mitt out of the cage to get my attention. DH REALLY fought me on adopting a new baby, but then he relented. And, of course, he ADORES her. She's such a wonderful kitty that it would be difficult not to. Purrs simply because she's not in a cage, I think.

And I think she was in a cage/shelter for several months. This Fall some guy had placed a Craigslist ad looking for homes for most of his 26 cats (some were spayed/neutered and those he kept). A shelter volunteer quickly went to retrieve them all. Dogfighting is still big business around here and she wanted to make sure that none of these kitties became "bait" animals. At that time she said Seven was an "older kitten."

According to her Seven is 9-10 months old, even though the shelter was "advertising" her as as a 7 month old male. We're inclined to trust the rescuer lady, since the shelter had mis-labeled her sex.

Seven was sneezing and became hit hard with a URI just days after we brought her home. Most likely feline herpes. Our boys are battling some sneezing, but they were vaccinated against this virus as kittens, so they won't likely become as sick as she was. She just finished a 10 day course of antibiotics for a subsequent sinus infection from her "cold." She's also been microchipped and had her full course of vaccinations (in addition to the regimen the shelter already provided. And she was spayed by them, as well).

Here's another, more recent, photo of her on the shelter's FB page (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10203104312913018&set=o.310564547414&type=1&theater).

Hey Zoom-Zoom so cute! I am not sure what your vet recommends about the runny eyes, but mine tells me to get L-lysine (inexpensive) at the health food/vitamin store and crush some up and sprinkle it on her food. It cures the runny eye part in a couple of days - check in with your vet about it. Mine likes to use homeopathic stuff before she advises antibiotics for things like that.
My son has a cat that looks like her - she has the toes too. Her name is Polly, a reference to polydactyl.

Yep, we're all over the L-lysine! Giving it to all our kitties.

Wow, Kirsten - Seven looks an awful lot like our Cooper (named for Sheldon Cooper) who was also a shelter kitty. He's the best cat I've ever had...hands down.

Oh, he is SO handsome!!!

I don't know how anyone can go to a shelter and not come home with a new furbaby!!
