Hello all, i'm new to the forum. I've been commuting a few years now but most consistantly this past year. I always wear the same gear that I go for regular road rides in...Team Jerseys and bib shorts. But I find that I don't like wearing out my one and only pair of bib shorts for my commute. What are some good capri/shorts/pants to try out for commutes? Preferably with Chamios.

Thanks all!
-Krista

Zoic makes some mountain bike capris and shorts with a detachable liner that I love. I wear them for commuting/errands with the liner and without for hanging around. They are kind of urban looking.
Terry makes some capris that also fit the bill.

I have and LOVE my Fox Women's Townie Shorts in the green/white/black plaid. They have a removable liner with a chamois. They're hit me aobut 3-4" above the knee. I bought them so I can ride around town and go into stores, coffee shops, library, etc. without spandex.

I like these messenger cycling pants:

They were recommended a couple of years ago in this forum. They have a non removable chamois (I cut it out and use regular shorts -- liner shorts are cheaper, though). They have some reflective material and great pockets (with zippers, one ideal for the cell phone...

I have one pair of these, Trek420 has 2 pairs.

I also cut the liner out, and wear these over my regular shorts (which do not have chamois)

Generally, though, for commuting I just wear any ol' thing I want with a pair of my chamois-less shorts on underneath. Target has some comfy and cute capris for $18 which work fine on the bike.
