Last night I had a friend over and we made natural, energy-packed treats!
We made:
Snickerdoodle Babies (http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2010/08/25/raw-snickerdoodle-cookies/)
and Peanut Butter Babies (http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2009/10/30/peanut-butter-babies/)
They kinda look gross, but they are mildly sweet and great for taking on long hikes and mountain bike rides. I store them in the fridge.
We also made homemade granola bars (http://glutenfreecooking.about.com/od/glutenfreesnackrecipes/r/glutenfreeenergybars.htm). Unfortunately they didn't set as well as I hoped. But I think that's because I had too many nuts to rice cereal ratio. I'll have to do a little experimenting with this one. But they are darn delicious! I ended up with about 2/3 bars and 1/3 of the recipe will be used as homemade "granola."
