Work has been slow this year (it happens in my line works as well as other's ) so when we got a call from guy asking if we wanted to do this festival on Catalina island I was thrilled! He said they didn't have much money but would pay for everything and make it worth our while!. Considering we did not take a vacation this year we jumped all over it.
So you have to take a ferry from San Pedro in california (about a 4 hour drive to ferry for us). You can't take your car. So what a perfect chance to bring our bikes with us. I guess there is some good riding on the island.
The festival is called the flying fish festival. And yes there are flying fish! I guess that is what we are sculpting. I can't wait. Most of our jobs are not on Islands!
