Can anyone tell me HOW it is that SPD = clipless pedals? The others are pretty obvious.
SadieKate

SPD = Shimano Pedalling Dynamics and is a trademark.
All SPD pedals are clipless but not all clipless pedals are SPD-compatible.

I think it is a Shimano trademark again. Like Ergo is Campy's. Gripshift is SRAM's. Not sure what SRAM is using for their new trigger stuff.
BTW, I saw that the new X.O mtb shifters have a lot of adjustability. Might be nice for small hands. Have you and anyone seen them?

Ain't Doody, thank you!! I always tell audiences, please ask. You can bet there'll be five other people who were too self-conscious, but are darned grateful. My favorite is NNTR (no need to reply), which saves everyone a lot of time. NNTR.

GRS??? I'm trying to fit words to that - I'm even using sailor languague and I can't seem to work it. Can you "hint" what GRS translate too if you can't say it? LOL
tnx

A few I thought of before I remembered Sheldon's site:
OTB can also be "off the back" (of the peleton, as in, dropped).
Endo--not an acronym but often-used phrase for over the handle bars, end over end (bad wreck situation)

I'm not gay but I'm not offended. And I have gay friends who are not offended, either. ;) That's too funny. Thanks for the clarification.
