I finally decided that the Specialized Ruby Comp was the new bike for me. I paid on Saturday and had the fitting on Monday.
The first two rides were good but the saddle didn't work for me. Now that I've swapped out the Lithia for my old Jett saddle, I am very, very happy.
She's light, she rolls so smoothly compared to the Fuji- just coasting on the rollers on my ride at Saguaro NP today was much faster! My DH, who could not ride because he is still nursing his injured shoulder, agreed to follow me around and get some pics of us - poor guy he's envious of the bike AND me being able to ride.
You can see the very cool, matte finish blue of the frame a little better in the close up.

I love my Ruby Comp! She's so light I call her Sparrow.

azfiddle - she's a beauty. May the road rise up to meet you and the wind always be at your back. A slightly mangled Irish blessing in honor of St Patrick's Day last week.

Macski- you don't know how appropriate your words are!
My other obsession is playing (mostly Irish) fiddle and was only able to buy this bike because this week was the "Irish musician's full employment holiday" and I earned about half of the cost of this bike with St. Patrick's day (week) gigs. (www.scatterthedust.com, www.cobblestonetucson.com)

Congrats. Just like mine:o Luv that Blue! And you have sunshine too! We have rain, rain, rain up here in the NW. When the sun does peek out, the roads are still too wet to take Ruby Sue out. Still need the fenders!!!
Yes, I am jealous of your weather!!! Want to ride soooo bad. Take a ride for me if you would please!!!!

Just curious- you have a Jett on your other bike, but you kept the Lithia on your Ruby- are you comfortable on both? I did not like the Lithia at all!
No fenders necessary here- I just don't ride in the rain.

Well, due to the weather, sadly I've only ridden her once! Still riding my Trek with the fenders! Didn't have seat problems, but only 10 miles on the Lithia! I'm guessing I'll probably switch the seats. Hopefully I'll get a chance to ride Ruby Sue tomorrow. The weather looks hopeful:o

That's what I got too azfiddle, not too long ago, from my '07 ruby to an '11! Rides like a dream, I love her! Enjoy your ruby, may you have many happy miles!

Your Ruby is gorgeous. I think Specialized out did themselves with their color scheme of bikes this year. I am not usually a fan of matte paint jobs but love your blue as well as the Komen Ruby in matt black and pink.
I am also most comfortable and love my Ruby. Wishing you many enjoyable cycling miles.

I love the matte blue color! I did not actually see the bike before they ordered it- I didn't even look at any of the bikes in the store because they were not in my size. The choice was white or blue- and since my old bike was blue and I had a lot of blue jerseys etc I asked for them to order the blue.
After I switched out the saddle I went in to have the fitter check everything one more time. It's windy today but I hope to ride again tomorrow.

I just wound up ordering the same bike! Nice to see your IRL photos of the blue, since I haven't seen it yet.
I finally arrived at the decision to order the Ruby Elite in white w/ turquoise, and they were going to swap out the Apex components for 105s and just charge me the difference. I really liked the teal ;) but it's unavailable until June, and I'm not that patient. When they found out the white/teal was unavailable, they offered me either the matte black & Komen pink Elite that they had in-store, or a Comp that they were willing to give me for the price they quoted for the Elite with swapped out components. Awesome. I went with the blue. Can't wait for it to arrive.

It's amazing, we've had 5 days in a row of decent weather (at least no rain!)...this one feels even more amazing than my original ruby - I guess a new bike will do that though! I was the same, I had to order it sight unseen and the colour blew me away when I saw it! :) Looking forward to lots of time on this saddle too!

Too bad we don't all live closer together - wouldn't it be fun to have ride together on our matching bikes?

Plan ahead- Tucson can be beautiful when it's cold or wet somewhere else. Don't come here in the summer...

Congrats! I just bought a Ruby Apex, Komen edition. I love her. It is a much better ride than my Dolce, and that ride was great. I moved up from a 52 to a 54. I fell off of her the first time I went to ride her on the road. I have a nice gear scar now on my right calf. Oh well. Trying to think of a name for a bike that throws you off after 15 seconds on board. Any ideas?

Can you believe I already have over 350 miles on her? The shop said to bring her in for her first tune-up at 400-500 miles....Still unnamed.. maybe Sapphire, maybe either the Merlin or the Peregrine, since they are both fast and have some blue color...
All the little problems seem to be solved- after I swapped my old saddle for the Lithia, and I don't seem to be having any more numbness in my hands. I guess I've adjusted my posture.
Anyway- happy to be part of the Ruby club here and hope you other new Ruby owners are enjoying them as much as I'm loving mine.

Lovin mine. I like Merlin for yours! Very mystical. Still can't think of a name for mine. Maybe the pink demon or something? I got her at Gearhead Outfitters, maybe GG for gearhead girl? Lol, Time will tell!

Actually, I was thinking "The Merlin" as in the agile falcon species...
