I just finally ordered a Road ID for me and DH today. I've been meaning to do it all summer. It will be a Christmas present for DH and I just got one for myself too. I figure it's such an easy thing to do to throw on a bracelet when I ride, run, open water swim, or trail ride my horses.

Who else has a Road ID? I hope all of you do and I'm the last dummy that waited to order.

ps: I love that they donate some of their proceeds to charity and that you get to choose what foundation yours goes to.

I would venture to guess that most of us here have a RoadID. It's a great investment that you hope you never need, but are thankful that you have (I think of it like extra life insurance).

Glad you finally bought one for both of you!!

I've had one for the last few years. I am ordering 2 more as Xmas gifts - 1 for my DH, and 1 for a good friend of mine who does a lot of walking outside in the dark early morning hours. I'm also getting her one of their Firefly safety lights, too.

I'm on my second Road ID. DH has one, too.

I'd been meaning to order a Road ID for some time and just the other day my brother ordered one for me.

I love my Road ID. Use on my walks and runs. Just bought my mom one over the summer for her birthday.

Yes, both DH and I. I bought one for my dad, an avid flyfisherman, as well since he doesn't carry his wallet while fishing.

Love mine, and they're a great company to work with.

I couldn't agree more. Their emails are oftentimes really funny too. They have a real sense of humor!

Yup. I've got the interactive version because A. I'm paranoid B. I have health issues.

I crashed on a road ride in October, lost consciousness and was taken to the hospital where I stayed for several days. Because of my Road ID and the Interactive portion, the hospital knew my conditions, health insurance info and everything they needed to about me.

Even though my husband was there shortly after I crashed and at the hospital, there's no way he would have been able to list my medications/dosages, drug allergies.

If you don't have one, get one!

I have one and I've even started taking mine with me when I take trips alone in my car! Love the security!

I don't have one yet, but it's high on my list of when I get some money to purchase one for myself and one for my husband. (Unfortunately hubby being unemployed and then having to move for him to get a new job did a number on us and we're still trying to catch back up. Once that happens I'll be getting them).

It's on my Christmas list :)

I've been really good this year. Anyone willing to put in a good word with Santa for me???

I have the wrist one, which I always wear when I go out on my bike. And I just ordered one for a friend of mine, that I frequently ride with, as a Xmas gift.

I've been thinking about ordering one for myself. Its cheap 'peace of mind' to have.

DH and I got them after a friend of ours was killed by an (allegedly) drunk driver (public records still don't disclose the results of the blood test) while riding home last June.

If you're on the fence, I got an email from them with a 10% off coupon code that may help: pcSAVE10, valid through 12/7/10.

I may order a smaller band for mine. I ordered one, thinking I'd want the extra length to put over a winter glove, but I vastly prefer it right on my wrist, under things, and it's just a whisker too big for me. I'd like less length, and it's not something you can trim after the fact.

I have one and bought one for DH. What I hadn't thought to do was get one for my 11yo son. At least not until reading this thread. Will be ordering one

Seriously tho Hebe.. since I know you ride alone, you should consider. Pretty cool colors and cheap as well.. chips :)

I'm not sure how ordering from the UK would be.

I have one - even though I always carry ID with me I got to thinking about how easy I might be to be separated from it if I did have an accident - especially as when I'm commuting everything is in my messenger bag. I got one for myself and one for my husband.

I have been thinking about getting one for a long time since I do quite a bit on my own. All your posts have convinced me to get one. I just finished ordering mine :-).

I have one! I got the ankle one because of the material and it is very soft and comfortable.

I ordered mine after being beaned by a golf ball, on my Thanksgiving ride. I was truly lucky I didn't go down. My husband was with me, but I've gone by 4 golf courses on over 100 rides. What are the odds? Lightning=twice?
My husband got one a while back. The first line on his: 'Is my bike OK?'
I got the interactive ID bracelet and filled out everything I could. I think they are a great idea. I will take it on the road with me. I drive all over AZ, for work.

Both DP and I have the wrist IDs. Not only do I wear it biking, I wear it almost anytime I am in the outdoors: hiking, x-country skiing, snowshoeing....
