Just a Poll - What bike or bikes do you own? What do you ride the most? What are your 2010 riding goals? How many days a week do you ride and total weekly mileage?
I own a Trek 7100, Giant OCR 3W and a Giant Rincon. I ride the Trek 7100 the most. I plan to ride more and do longer rides. In 2009, I rode about 4 days a week and averaged 60 miles a week.

See my signature. I try to ride 15-20 miles a day, 5-6 days a week. My goal is to better my times on the Little Rock Metric and St. Louis Ride the Rivers Century.
My big goal is to fuel better. Lose weight and quit using bike riding as an excuse to eat sugar!

The only bike I have right now is my 2010 Orbea Dama Onix TLT. I have been averaging in the last couple weeks 70-90 miles a week, but I will crank that up to between 100-200 a week (if not more!) from now probably until the end of summer. I usually ride between 2-4 times a week depending on the weather and my work schedule. My goals this year are to do my first century, do the Seattle to Portland bike ride along with a few other organized rides I've never done before, and get up to 3,000+ feet of climbing in a ride (currently my max is 2200). Good thread topic!!

I ride a Trek pilot 5.7 and average 100-125 miles a week spring and fall and less than that more like 75 -100 in the summer. After completing a cross country from California and Florida last year, and haven fallen with injuries and 6 weeeks off each time twice already this year, my goal is to get back into shape to manage a week in the hill country in April , a centuy in the little red riding hood ride with my 4 sisters in June and then another cross country along the mississippi from south to north after that in early 2011.
Basically if I can get back to doing a 60 mile ride in under 4 hours at least once a week along with several shorter rides during the week and continue 2x a week with my trainer I will be supremely content.

2009 Wilier Izoard with a 2010 Ultegra group and Chris King wheels
2009 Yeti ASR with an 07 XTR group
2008 Giant OCR3w
Trek 4500WSD (now gone to bike heaven)
Spot Brand custom cyclocross with 2009 Ultegra group and Mavic wheels (soon to come)
I ride the Wilier the most, 2-3 times a week durning the season. I use the Giant as a commuter now when I have to leave the bike outside. The Trek used to pull my trailer. And the Yeti gets used as often as I can get into the mountains, which is less than I'd like. Hoping the cyclocross will give me some more opportunities on the local trails, some wintery road riding, and maybe a few races.
Yes I have a problem ;) N+1 is alive and well...

Great Thread!
I own:
1996 Voodoo Wanga Mtn bike
2000 Aegis Swift carbon road bike
2003 Titus Racer X mtn bike
2006 Serotta Ottrott custom carbon/ti road bike with Campy Record
And how could I forget? my 1957 Huffy Cruiseliner.
I ride the Ottrott the most, the Titus next. I use the Aegis as a trainer bike, my excuse for not riding it outdoors is that it doesn't fit well and I rarely ride the Voodoo.
I've had other bikes that have come and gone mainly because they didn't fit.
No goals yet, I'm still working on my skiing goals, have a month left. I ride 2,000 miles per year. I'd like to visit Indiana in Sept. for the fall TRIRI and visit my family and friends in Cincinnati. Depending on my fitness and training I'd also like to climb Trail Ridge road here in Colorado.
Trek 7.3,
and 7.6
Mariposa
Peugeot mixte
And the most wonderful bike of all, Miss Aurora
I would like to do the Virginia Creeper Trail this summer

litespeed verona
park pre image c6
surly pacer
TST titanium mountain bike.
I probably ride the litespeed the most - probably 80-100 miles a week between the bikes.
The park pre's a full carbon road bike - it lives at the bf's house for when I want to ride there, the litespeed stays at my house for riding... The surly's my commuting to work or downtown to the library or whatever bike, ride on non-road that doesn't need a mountain bike. Mountain bike is for... mountain biking. The surly, the tst, and the park pre we built up on frames I bought, the litespeed was an ebay purchase that pretty much fit perfect as is :)
goals for this year - ride as much as possible ;)

I own a Giant OCR-C3 (2006) road bike... and an 'old old OLD' Schwinn mountain bike.
I ride the Giant most of the time... very very seldom ride the mountain bike... except a few times a year maybe. My 2010 goals is to just enjoy biking as I have since I started riding in 2006. I'm doing RAGBRAI with the Livestrong team this year, so that is exciting. My weekly mileage is quite variable... since I only ride on the weekends. I usually like to get in at least 50-75 miles each weekend day... and get in a few centuries here and there.
The big thing for 2010 for me is that and I'm 'hoping' to buy a Wilier Cento Uno soon ... yep yep yep... if all goes and planned... crossing finger that this sweetness will soon be mine.

1998 Diamondback Response Mountain Bike (one night per week with the guys!)
2004 Diamondback Master (retired to the trainer for winter indoor spinning)
2008 Specialized Tri-cross Sport (touring)
2009 Felt FW3 Road ( my main, and favorite, bike)
Goals are few this year as my husband is riding the Southern Tier right now and one of us has to be in town all the time for his 90 yr. old dad. We have cooked for him for three years and now he needs alot of help. I have had my three long rides the past three years, and DH has just retired and is on his dream trip. Our dream is to ride the Northern Tier together when we are able to be gone together. I can't wait!! I ride as many days a week as it is not raining (not many these days!) and maybe do 75-100 miles per week, more in summer. I have two metrics planned so far, both in April, and lots of other rides. We might flip to see who goes to Bike VA as only one of us can go to it! Don't you think I deserve it after he gets back from the ST?!!!
Zen, I live 30 minutes from the Creeper Trail and we also have some really great road riding here in the area. Please let me know when you are going to be here. You are welcome to stay here, bring friends, or whatever. The road riding is awesome, though LOTS of hills. I have no rides without 1500-3000 feet of climbing in a day!!! Gorgeous, though! I would love to ride the Creeper again. It is a wonderful place to ride, but do it on a weekday!!! ...very crowded in summer on the weekends.

I have a 2003 Giant Sedona. That's it... just one bike, the only new bike I've ever owned.
I ride that one the most. :D
Upcoming rides and goals:
metric century - Terry Wild Goose Chase in October
however many hours I manage (last year it was 66) - 24 Hours of Booty in August
maybe the Great Alleghany Passage
goal is to get a little faster, a little stronger, a little better
I'll be happy if I can manage 40-50 miles/week before longer days are here, and 70-100 miles/week in the summer.
Ah, heck, who am I kidding?! I'll just be happy riding whenever and however far I can ride!

I have a 1990 Univega Alpina mtn. bike, a 2009 Specialized Dolce Elite compact double, and a 2009 Jamis Coda Sport hybrid.
Still have my last childhood bike, too: a Sears single speed with lots of chrome,a front shock (before they were fashionable) and coaster brake. If my memory serves me, that bugger weighs in at 65 lb.
I haven't ridden the Univega for a while, but I'd like to tune it up this year and use it a little bit. Just bought the Jamis in October and only got in a couple rides before winter set in, and I alternate using that fairly equally with the Dolce.
My rides average 10-20 miles several times a week; I ride for fitness and recreation. This season I'd like to ride more often and increase my distance to 30 miles or more.

'07 Cannondale Synapse Feminine 3
'03 Trek Navigator 200
In the basement and hopefully will see some miles this year, but really geared too tall for my aging legs until I do some serious rebuilding, '87 custom Button with Record/Chorus and American Classic...
Cycling is on the back-burner as I train for what I hope to be my first marathon in May....

My most recent purchase is a 2010 Jamis Aurora Elite. (Just named her Bella, 'cause she's beautiful and thinks she's Italian - I wish she had Campy) :)
I've only ridden her once but from that first ride I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't become my bike of choice. Steel is real as they say. :)
2005 Scott CR1 Pro (full carbon with Campy Centaur), presently my bike of choice. "Rocket"
2006 KHS Urban X which I will be selling - never rode it much "Tank"
1994 Giant Cadex with Shimano Ultegra, my trainer bike "Ol' Blue"
My mileage goal for this year is at least 2000. We have two tours planned so that should help get the miles. Goal last year was 2000 and only did 1504. If the weather cooperates (and no accidents/injuries - knock wood) :) should be able to get the 2000 no problem.

2005 Terry Titanium Isis
2004 Terry Classic
1994 (ish) Specialized Rockhopper MTB
I enjoy riding my Isis the best and in the summer, it definitely gets the most use. My Classic is set up as my winter bike and my commuter (rack, fenders, lights, etc), so it's been ridden the most lately.
My goals for 2010:
Complete my first tri (May) and possibly a couple more of them later in the summer
Commute at least once a week starting next week (my commute is 20 miles each way, so this is no small task)
Complete the Crater Lake Century in August

In terms of bike goals for 2010-Mainly mountain biking of course! All of our club XC series, 1 4hr, 1 6hr, another 100km enduro & a 12hr.

1984 Repco Nishiki Olympic 12 (my first road bike that sits on the trainer)
2008 Shogun Ninja (current roadbike)
2008 Kona Lisa HT (first serious MTB - now on slicks with rack and panniers/bag for shopping bike duties)
2009 Specialized Era Marathon (dual suspension MTB and most expensive bike I ever bought)
2009 Holstar Roadster (tandem so DD can join us on long rides and touring)
2010 Scott Speedster S20 FB (new flat bar roadie arrived this week and already done about 100km and had its first flat tyre!)
It sort of depends what we're doing at the time which one gets ridden most. I just love the Spesh and going bush but it gets the least use at the moment because it has been beastly wet. But every time I ride it and that SRAM X-0 just keeps on changing regardless of the mud I just love it and don't care how much it cost.
When I'm training for a tri it is nearly always the Ninja that gets all the riding and I do have a sneaking love for roadies that means that it is probably my favourite despite being a relatively modest bike in name terms.
But I can already see that Scottie is going to be the "new black" for me. Almost as quick as the roadie, nicer to ride to work than the Kona.... I can see a lot of miles mounting up on that puppy!
Mileage a week - really varies. Anything from nothing to a couple of hundred km when in training for something - or 500km if I'm on a tour (not often). Not enough km lately is all I know!
Goals...
Fully regain fitness after my fall off the roadbike back in October.
Climb Mt Coot-tha without stopping to pick my lungs up off the pavement.
Race a DRY MTB race (it always rains when I race).
A PB in the Noosa Triathlon for 40km.
Cycle Queensland Tour in September.
Metric century Brisbane to the Gold Coast in October.

Cannondale BlacklIghtning with Campy Record
Cannondale 2000 frame (CAD7) with Campy Chorus
Cannondale 911 frame (CAD5) built up with Campy Chorus(trainer bike, bad weather bike)
Custom Ti frame built up with Campy Record w/Campy wheels(builder of frame no longer in business) This is my favorite, and I ride most of the time.
2010 KHS Flite 720 built up with Campy Chorus haven't been able to ride this much as of yet... beautiful bike though, color is lavendar
Soma Double Cross built up with Ultegra 9 speed for touring (still finishing the wheels for this)
Winter mileage(trainer time) 100-125 miles
In season: 125-160 depending on what I'm training for.
Haven't decided whether I'm goiong to race mtn bike(first time) or will concentrate on hillclimbs. Any suggestions? :) Also want to do some self contained touring.

'08 Cannondale Synapse Fem 1
'09 Surly Cross Check
I do the most miles on the Cannondale. Love, love, love that bike. My Surly is my run to the post office bike, my winter studded tire bike, my rail-trail/dirt road bike, my touring bike, etc. On the rare occasion that I want to do single track I borrow my son's Trek MTB.
Goals for 2010....
My first goal was to ride outside through the winter which I managed to do, despite the snow! My goal was 1000 miles from January 1-March 31 and I am on track for that. Last Tuesday I did my first metric century of the year and was so happy that I did a metric by the first week of March and it was easy!
During the season, I'll ride 500-800 miles a month, depending on what else is going on in my life. Last year I did 18 metric centuries and 2 centuries. This year I would like to do at least 10 centuries and 20 metric centuries. I want to ride in some new places, maybe do a few high mileage multi-day events, and do a one-day organized ride with my husband and kids.

2005 Trek 5.9 Pilot (for sale soon)
Soon to have in my stable: Luna Eclipse road bike (can't wait) and a Specialized Tricross Comp for my commuter/trail riding.
I ride around 100 miles a week during the spring, summer and fall. I ride mostly charity and social club rides on the weekends. We don't have a bike vacation planned this year like we have in year's past. My goal is always 2,000 miles for the year but I've never reached it, I just come close.

I just upped my stable to three bikes!
2009 Specialized Roubaix pro-everything upgraded from an 05 except the crankset
2009 Trek 4300-new with slicks for around town
2009 Windsor Clockwork-(steel single speed)
I must say that I need to ride more than I am. I am hoping to get ready for a few sprint tri's and the occasional century ride. I love the fact that when I ride I can eat pretty much whatever. I ride about three times a week and my big rides (only 40-50 miles) are on the weekend, usually Saturday.

2003 Rivendell Rambouillet - bike in the trainer
2006 Rivendell Legolas - gets most of the road miles
2004 Specialized Stumpjumper - not ridden as much as I'd like
2009 Custom Bohemian Tandem - also not ridden nearly enough
2009 Cervelo S3 - just got it, it will be my race bike
Goals - I have two Half Ironmen this year, one in May, one at the end of July.
The first race has a lot of climbing in the bike and I want to just finish. :D For the one in July, I want to crush my time from last year.

I agree, ridebikeme, super fun. I also know of a few people here whose list would take up the better part of a page! :p
My stable includes:
1976 Bob Jackson mixte ("Bob')
2003 Trek mtn bike of some sort ("the old mtn bike")
2005 Titus Racer X ("Ouzel")
2007 Gunnar Roadie ("LAZB")
2009 Salsa Casseroll ("Sparky")
These days I don't ride anything at all because I am recovering from surgery. But my cycling goal this year is to be on my bike by the end of July (OK, maybe mid-August), at least commuting to work. It will most likely be Sparky since that's my commuter. (and Sparky has a wider range of gears than LAZB, a little friendlier for a weak rider  )!

This is too much fun to read! :D
I have my Cannondale F5 hardtail for mountain biking (which I never do), I run it around town on slicks most of the time
+ Giant Transcend commuter (the workhorse - school, groceries and errands); I really kinda love this bike, we go everywhere together :)
+ Bianchi Emola, steel frame road bike (snappy and loads of fun)
+ Lemond Versailles, carbon road bike (just plain fast)
I'd honestly have to say I ride the commuter the most, about 3-4 days per week. I ride my road bikes more on the weekend when the BF can go with me and we usually ride anywhere from 25 - 70 miles depending on the weather. I have 'attempted' to go mountain biking with the BF on my F5 once and almost went into cardiac arrest it scared me so bad.

1985 Eddy Merckx steel road bike
2002 Eddy Merckx Fuga alu/carbon road bike
I ride the steel bike in winter or wet weather, and the Fuga in nicer conditions (it stays warm and dry on the trainer all winter--the baby). Most rides are between 20 and 40 miles. I ride more in summer than winter because I don't ride in the dark or on ice. From November to March, I ride around 50-75 per week (not including trainer miles), and in DST, around 100. I really feel it when I ride more than 100 miles a week. I start feeling worn out and tired. I estimate that I rode 4200 last year, which is the top end of what I think is healthy for me to do.
I never know what I'm going to do when I head out on the bike. I decide as I'm going by conditions and how I'm feeling. I keep it very routine. Every week, some rides will be fast, some easy, and one will be hilly. Other than that, I tend to be my own worst enemy when I set goals, so I don't set them.
I am lucky to have found a sport that I love, that is never hard to convince myself to do. When it's windy and cold, and part of me would rather stay inside, I remind myself I've never regretted going for a ride, and off I go.

I have:
2007/8 Kuota Kebel with Ultegra, and the R700 brifters. Not sure of the year because the original Kuota the shop sold me in 2006 was too big. In September 2008 they exchanged the frame for the Kebel and I added the short reach brifters.
2008 Jamis Coda Femme
2005 Norco full suspension mtb
I ride the Kuota the most, rides of anywhere between 15 and 60 miles usually. The Coda is my around town, errand bike, but I have done a 50 mile ride on it, on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Last year, I rode the Coda about 225 miles and the Kuota about 2,300.
I didn't do any mountain biking last year. I kinda suck at it, but want to keep the bike, for riding some the less technical trails around here. I'd like to ride it at least 5-10 times this year.
I gave up setting mileage goals 2 years ago, and I took myself off of Bike Journal. I rode 3,000 miles in 2006 and since then, I've had a myriad of weird medical things and sports injuries. I seem to get in around 24-2600 miles a year without trying too much. This year, my only goals are:
Finish my tour of Andalusia, Spain without any injuries and without having to take the SAG on the day of the big climb. Enjoy myself, too, instead of trying to rush from one place to the other.
Ride without pain and get my average back to where it was in 2006. Not sure if I can do this, but I will try.
Do more long rides. Last year, I rode a lot, but mostly shorter rides. Do more 50-60 mile rides.
Do the Seacoast century again in September.

Miles per week and rides per week are hugely variable. I hope to get 4K miles (~2600 km?) in for the year.
I do have on "goal" ride this year - a 5-6 day self-supported trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway from North Carolina into VA with about 5 others.

I ride a 2010 Cannondale Synapse Féminine 5..."Oberon" (I call her "Oby," for short)
I have been riding 2-3 days/week on the trainer since I got her in November...with a handful of outdoor rides when weather has been decent. I've averaged 40-50 miles most weeks in the last month or two.
I'm hoping to ride 3-4 days/week now that weather is improving and am training for a duathlon in late April, then a few century rides in Summer and Fall. Not really sure on mileage goal...maybe 1500-2k miles. I'm also running regularly and hoping to hit 1200 or so miles with that, so I'm taking it easy with the cycling for this first year until I decide what I want my emphasis to be. Right now running is my primary sport.

Bikes:
Bianchi L'Una (the climbing bike)
Bianchi Eros (the training bike)
Giant Trinity Alliance (the time trial bike)
All my bikes have Campagnolo Record 10sp, and all use Campy wheels, either tubulars or clinchers.
And, there's another box of campy Record sitting in the house, waiting for a Racemaster since Interbike 2009...
Now, if BMC would please kindly decide to ship some of those bikes to the USA...
Oh well, back on topic.
Weekly Mileage: around the 150's in the Winter. Right now between the 250's and 290's depending on weather. Hope to go back to normal in the Summer (350's or so) if my knee agrees with the plan :D
Goals for 2010:
1- complete this slow recovery and get back to pre-injury speed.
2- attend some new coaching clinics
Yes this thread is fun but... it should have pictures! ;)

Trek 820, Diamondback Centurion designed Venture, Fuji Silhouette. The Fuji is the newest and what I currently ride. I'm just getting started again for the season. Plan to ride 25-30 miles 3-4 times a week with at least one longer ride a week. My goals for this year are to drop the 30 pounds I've gained and to do a full century by the end of the year.

This is not a sexy list and sounds absent-minded. Am also abit embarrassed to list my bikes compared to everyone else's higher end bikes and knowing exact model yr. The list doesn't quite reflect my true love for bikes and many years of cycling. I'm just..um..abit cheap.
*Marin County Bodega Ridge hybrid (I bought it in 2006, but not sure about model year.)
*Giant Cypress (bought in 2001 but not sure about model year)
*nameless mountain bike bought 3rd hand :p
will be getting #4- a folding bike.
Ok, I do care about cycling often, even given such a motley fleet. :)
On bike #1, I must have done over 7,000 kms. last yr., 'cause last spring & summer I was averaging at least 1,000 kms. each month with shortest ride 42 kms. almost daily, longer rides on weekends 50+ kms. each day. I ride yr.-round, with less frequency & distance in winter.
So this yr. I'm not sure if I will meet last year. Better get my butt movin'. But we are going on our own bike tour in Europe which is why folding bike is needed for shunting onto trains several times so we can see more in shorter time.

Goals: Mountain Biking, 20 to 45 miles of single track a week (after spring thaw). Work on my technical skills, speed, climbing abilities, etc. I have 2 races: Ore 2 Shore (http://www.oretoshore.com/) and Iceman (http://www.iceman.com/). My goal is to finish in 2:30 at Iceman.
Road riding:
Hit one fast group ride a week. Maybe next year I'll do more road riding, but this year its all about the trails.
Giant Suede:
The family bike. I'm hoping to do lots of family bike rides down the bike path, to the store, playground, around the 'hood, etc. I'm really looking forward to this. I'll have the tag-a-long bike behind me, and the burley trailer behind that with DD and DS. :D

Bikes hanging in the bike cave...
1987 Bridgestone touring bike (steel) - used for errands and rides with Mr. Tater.
2004 Gary Fisher Tassajara - dirt, mud and snow bike.
2007 Giant TCR c w (carbon) - main ride, but soon to be replaced.
2009 Masi Speciale Fixed (steel) - I run this as a single speed.
Just started the process for getting a custom steel Kelson.
Weekly mileage...around 210 miles a week right now. That will go up with warmer weather.
Goals? A couple local charity rides; one metric, one imperial century. Then the fall Yellowstone bike tour.

hey limewaver and tater... I see you both have the TCR. That's the bike I wanted back in 2006 when I bought my OCR. I always was more 'fond' of the TCR color back then,:D... but even so, I settled and got the OCR. Everytime I'd see the TCR out on the road, I'd growl at myself for not waiting a month or two to come up with the extra $$$ to get the bike I really wanted.
Given that!!, I am now at a crossroad between buying a new Specialized Tarmac and a Wilier Cento Uno. The Uno is the one I really want!!, more $$$ and I have to wait a bit to get it... but I'm waiting. Not making the same mistake I did before:D
Love those Giant bikes though... my OCR carbon has been a great bike... and will make a great 2nd hand bike when the Wilier comes and bumps her:eek::p

Redrhodie - love your Merckx collection :)
My bikes:
* 2002 Colnago Ovalmaster (The Fred Rodriguez US Nat'l Champ paint scheme - flashy!) This has super easy gearing and is generally set up for brevets, though I have stripped it down to be my everyday bike since it's my only bike right now.
* 2004 Eddy Merckx TEam SC - stolen a week and a half ago but still in my heart. :( This bike and I did a 600k together and most of my double centuries
* Giant something or other MTB (I don't MTB a lot)
* Meridian tandem (either DH or I ride with DD. They did a century a couple years ago and she and I may do one this year.)
* Coming soon: 2010 Pegoretti Love 3 w/ Record 11 :D:D
The Merckx probably had 20 - 25,000 miles on it when it was stolen. I ride 5000 miles in a good year (assuming no strange injuries or illnesses requiring hospitalization.)
Goal for this year is just to have fun and see my Death Ride team succeed at their event. I'm head coach for TNT's death ride team here in Nor Cal, and it'll be my 6th DR I think. This fall I may do a double century with a friend who wants someone to ride with (and she and I are perfectly matched). We'll see.
I'd like to do more doubles and brevets and such (and one day I will do the 508 either solo or with one teammate), but not this year. DR coaching takes up enough of my time and I have a teenage daughter who's not going to be around for that much longer - that sounds grim; I just mean she'll be off to college in 4 years.

I have one bike: 2009 Giant Avail 3. My per-week mileage is ridiculously low, because I didn't have the time to ride when I had my bike up here, and I took my bike home in December. When I am home and can ride, I get up to ~25 miles per ride on the bike trail, 10 if I'm doing neighborhood riding ('cuz it gets boring).
For 2010, I want to:
1) Increase my distance and frequency of rides. If I can't ride, get in shape for riding.
2) New wheels.
3) Metric century. On my own, if not some event.
4)Get better at climbing.

Only one bike - Trek Madone 5.2 WSD
My goals are to get stronger in the hills and to ride well when I visit North Georgia for Memorial Day. I usually ride 4 days a week and average between 150-180 miles most weeks. I don't like to set mileage goals since I can become a little obsessive - riding when I should rest or in questionable weather.

'09 Cannondale Quick 4 - Hybrid
'10 Felt ZW100 - 1st road bike (craigslist)
'10 Orbea Diva
Main bike until today has been the Felt. I ride about 70-100 miles a week (in better weather at least!). I've only been riding 6 months and am lovin' it!!
Glad to see someone else with an Orbea! Aren't they great???

Road:
2007 Specialized Ruby (bought in 2006)
1996 Lemond Tourmalet
Ruby gets used the most.
Tourmalet has mountain gearing. I put 28c Vittoria Ranndonneur tires on it and a bike rack. I use the Tourmelet for winter and early spring riding, times when I'm convalescing, distance rides where I know I'll encounter dirt/gravel roads, errands with panniers (although it has a pretty short wheelbase I can carry 15 lbs each pannier). I use it as a spare bike for visiting friends with similar build to go riding with.
I've been cycling for 30 years. I don't count child or teenage years but start the tally from age 20 when I used bikes for transportation and recreation. I used a Schwinn Continental from about 1980 to 1996. Not on the list since I gave it away.
Mountain:
2010 Specialized Myka HT (bought in 2009)
1989 Trek 930 Single Track rigid suspension
I rode the '89 Trek with the rigid suspension for 20 years as mt and on the road, until my aging limbs couldn't take it any more and last year got the Specialized Myka with front supsension.

I totally admire your last cycling goal ... it's a smart move but takes a great deal of willpower.

Indeed!! I must admit that seeing all these new bicycles of other TE members (yay, spring!) does intensify the desire to consider acquiring an additional steed or two. ;) Luckily, I am quite disciplined ;) :D
Of course, I will not indefinitely limit myself to three bicycles. ;) :) That would be silly ;)

Love this thread!
My bikes
I have a Specialized Dolce Sport, not sure of the year, think 2006, Trek 4500 mountain bike, not sure of the year, think 2006 and my new one a Look 566,2009. I have retired the Specialized even though I had planned on continuing to ride it. It just isn't comfortable anymore, but I am not ready to part with it. The Look fits so much better and I can tell the difference when I get on the Dolce.
Biking
I try to exercise 5-6 days a week and focus on time. When the roads weren't icy I was taking the bike out 5 days a week. Icy makes me nervous so I was stuck on the trainer for a while. Since I love being outside I was walking for some workouts. Now I am back at it and road 5 days this week. Not sure how many miles I am putting in. My bike doesn't have a sensor on the back wheel so trainer rides don't let me know mileage. Wish I invested in the better computer.
Goals
My goal is to ride 5 days a week and try to log in as many miles as I can. I would love to do a century, but I get fatigued and my lupus makes it hard to put in long workouts. Today I did 1:45 on the trainer and it felt good to push it. Also nervous about group riding. I ride solo.
I admire all of you ladies who get out there and do centuries and race.

I have one bike - a 2007 Specialized Ruby Comp. I changed to a 12-32 rear cassette and long cage derailleur for the hills and now it's perfect! I'm thinking of getting a folding bike so that I can have one when I travel - probably a stock or used Bike Friday or a Xootr Sport. I sold my hybrid and got a Vita, sold the Vita and got the Ruby.
I have been riding for one year. I usually ride 3-4 times a week from between 60-90 miles (when it's not raining). When it's raining, I go to the gym and do water aerobics and weight machines.
Goals for this year:
1. Ride from Santa Cruz to Santa Barbara (about 270 miles) with a group.
2. Keep up with intermediate club riders.
3. Get better on hills.
4. Up the average distance of my rides from 20-25 miles to 35-40 miles.

Giant Sedona DX (The Cloud) currently residing with my sister.
Gary Fisher Marlin with slicks for cruising around town. I call it my urban assault machine! Her name is Skittles because of the multi colored add ons!
Bianchi Eros Donna in Kandy Mango. She goes by the name of Carmen and we credit card tour and do longer rides.
Happy for now but you never know!!!

My bikes:
1996 Trek 700 Multi-Track hybrid w/ Xtracycle - purchased in grad school, converted to be my minivan last October
1999 Sycip road tandem - our wedding present to ourselves. Doesn't get used so much these days, but we're hoping to put a stoker conversion kit on it so that our almost 7 year old can ride it with one of us and start getting him out on some longer rides
2001 Torelli Corsa Strada road bike - this was my 30th bday present from my husband and I love it. In February for my 39th bday, we just upgraded the Campy Veloce 9 speed gruppo to the Athena 11 speed. I sometimes think I want to try a lighter road bike, just to see if it would improve my hill climbing and speed, but this fits me so perfectly and is just so comfy that I can't quite motivate to do it.
2008 Felt F1X cross bike - just got this off of eBay 2 weeks ago and haven't ridden it more than around the block yet. We re-ran the brake cable yesterday, after removing the in-line brakes, and I still need to adjust the rear derailleur before I can get out and see how I like it. The stem feels a little long and the handlebars feel a little wide, but we'll see!
2009 Sweetpea custom 650b mixte - my 'round town, do everything bike, but dang, it can haul *** when I want or need it to. And it can climb well too, thanks to the compact double on the front and 11-34 mountain cassette on the rear. Someday, I hope to do some longer tour rides with it since I have a front and rear rack for it. When the boys are older and we can do some bike camping. I love and adore this bike and it was well worth the wait.
I also have a hand-me-down Trek 5200 OCLV, that lives at my in-law's cottage in Michigan. It's a touch big for me, but I only ride it for 2 weeks a year, so that's ok.
Goals:
Ride as much as I can, whenever I can. Sometimes, that means 2 miles a day, taking the boys to school and back. I'd love to get out on long "real" rides more often, but until both of them are in full-day school, five days a week, I don't see it happening. And since my husband rides too, we usually have to divvy up the weekend mornings.
My other goal is to ride and finish at least one cross race this fall.
Get stronger on hills. I've been working at this, and I'm getting better, but I've got a ways to go still.
Finally do a century. I've done a metric century, but never a full 100 miles. It's about darn time.

Bikes (sorry - don't know all the model years):
- 2010 Specialized Tarmac team bike (DH just finished the build today)
- 2006 or 07 Kestrel Evoke
- 200? Rocky Mountain Turbo
- 2009 Specialized Transition TT bike
- Cannondale Tandem (since we have 2 of these, I can count one as mine, right?)
- Specialized TriCross
- Ridley Cross Fire
- Kona Major One (SS)
- Specialized Epic Marathon
- Soul Cycles Hooligan (SS)
- Unnamed Carbon Hardtail MTB
Yeah - um, N+1 is definitely in effect at my house ;)
As to which I ride the most? Can't tell you. In the winter, on the rollers, it's been the Rocky Mtn. In race season, it will be the Tarmac. All depends on what I am doing, or feel like riding. I know that life is tough in my world when my biggest decision of the day is which bike to ride :D.
Goals for this year:
Racing for our women's Elite team, so hoping not to suck!

Bikes:
2006 Trek 1600 - a friend gave this one to me since it was too small for her. After riding it for a while, I realized it was also too small for me so it's in storage.
2009 Trek Madone 4.5 - this is my commuter bike so it's the one I ride the most.
2009 Trek Madone 5.2 - my favorite
Since I try to commute 4 out of my 4 working days (weather and schedule permitting) and I try to do long rides on the weekends, at a minimum, I am riding around 150-200 miles per week. Once the weather gets nicer, the mileage will increase.
2010 goals:
Try to figure out how to get faster (if possible) since I might start racing and I would like to be able to hang with the faster riders on the group rides.
Trying to be more consistent with the weekend group rides (in other words, DON'T sleep in!)
A couple of centuries (did my first one in September and it was a blast).
Keep on enjoying it! :)

I have two bikes:
2009 Fuji Finest 2.0
1983 Nishiki Custom Sport mixte
I ride the Fuji most of the time. The Nishiki is for going to the store, post office, etc. when I have time to do my errands by bike.
I have been riding 3-5 days a week, 50-100 miles, enjoying the opportunity to ride during the winter in Arizona.

Just a Poll - What bike or bikes do you own? What do you ride the most? What are your 2010 riding goals? How many days a week do you ride and total weekly mileage?
Currently I own a 2010 Trek 2.1 WSD and an OLD walmart brand mountian bike. Which is currently the go to the grocery store and pull my 2 year old around in a trailer bike. :) It is really heavy! I ride my Trek the most these days. Only on the weekends do I lug the mountain bike out. I am grateful to have it thought.
2010 Riding Goals
-In september I will be doing the metric century Assault on Sugarloaf with my hubby. Climbing the hills of Clermont, Fl.
-I want to ride at least 4 times a week either on my trainer or with the group. Now that the sun is out later I will be able to ride with my club on Wednesday nights.
-Hill training.
-To keep up with Hubby!
I ride with my cycling club on the Sat, Sun and Wed. I try to make at least 2 of these. I average about 60-80 miles a week. Not too shabby!

Hi!
New here, love the forum!
Bikes: 2004 Specialized Stumpjumper (mtn)
2007 Scott CR1 Pro (road)
Ride the Scott since I can't get to the trails to ride the mtn bike. I'm a stay-at-home mom so don't have the time to drive to the trailheads (none near me) and do anything worthwhile without lots of rushing. Now that my son is in preschool I can get a good ride in and get a few things done while he is in school. Hoping to ride the mtn bike soon, I really miss it.
2010 goals are to pickup my riding again (not a friendly winter healthwise) and get back into the swing of things.
Back to riding at least 3x a week for 100 miles total.

I'm getting married this summer, so not sure how lofty my biking goals will be.
Congratulations, Bluebug!
Let's see... My bikes are...
2008 Trek Madone 5.1
1991-ish Miyata steel
Some sort of mid-1990s Trek mountain bike
I really only ride the Madone. (Rumor has it the mountain bike has a flat, but I haven't bothered to check it out.) I love my Madone. I love my husband for encouraging me to buy the Madone.
Goals: I would like to do 3,000 km this year, but I'm already a bit behind schedule (and probably looking at knee surgery in the next couple of months, too). Ç'est la vie. I'm really pleased with my current level of fitness and how I'm climbing, so if I can keep that up, I'll be happy.

2008 Cannondale Caad 9
2009 Surly CrossCheck - my commute bike
My husband is looking to start riding and will not ride my tricked up Surly with the pink accents and handle bars. So, I'll be riding the Surly a lot more this year. I just got the stem switched out so it should be more comfortable for distance riding. I love it other than that. My Cannondale cost more, but I like my Surly. :D

I'm enjoying having two really high quality bikes. I don't think I need any more.
Luna Eclipse that I purchased in 2005
Bike Friday Pocket Rocket Pro that I purchased in 2008.
I also have a Jamis Coda Comp that I purchased in 2003. It was my commuting bike when I was a commuter, and it served me very well. It is now my city/errand bike.
My goal to ride in Chile has been put on hold (I was supposed to be riding there now). I'm not one to keep track of mileage, although that would probably help me meet my other goals: do a century, ride in the Texas Hill Country, and do another tour yet to be decided. Maybe C&O Canal; maybe out west somewhere. I also want to continue to improve my daily riding and use my bike for transportation whenever possible (errands 5 miles from home or less, for example).

I've done a little more thinking about my goals for this year. I can't really ride until May, sadly (combination of school and really bad (read: uncontrollable with meds) allergies). I also decided that I need something a little more specific.
1) Make most of my rides (weather and body permitting) 20+ miles. Since I wasn't even sore after my last ride, I think it's time to up the mileage a bit.
2) Put 1000 miles on my bike.
3)Keep up with BF--he's a sprinter and has been doing this a lot longer than I have (plus he lives where he can ride through the winter... ). I'm not sure I have a chance there, but I can try.
4)Figure out where my strengths and weaknesses are.

I bought my first road bike last year - it's a 2008 Specialized Dolce Elite that I named Gabby:
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f368/Kiwibug/IMG_1729.jpg
My second bike I just got this past weekend - I bought it used and I'm really excited even though it's not high end at all. It's a Leader brand steel bike - I got it for going around town and hopefully doing some touring this summer! I have no idea if I will like touring so I didn't want to buy a new bike - if I find I like it someday I'll invest in something better. I've named this one Jude.
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f368/Kiwibug/IMG_1730.jpg
Edit: I forgot my goals!
1) I would like to find a club to ride with - I'm not sure if I'll be able to become fast enough for group rides, but I really want to try!
2) I want to go on a couple tours this summer, either alone or with a friend.
3) I want to ride as much as I can - I spent so much time this winter thinking about riding, now that spring is coming I want to take advantage of every opportunity!

I have a Giant Avail 1 that I bought in Sept. 2009. It's my first road bike and I absolutely love it!
Goals are:
1. Ride as much as possible this year
2. Try and keep up with my husband while biking (he's had a bit of a head start, before he got his road bike in May '09 he was regularly doing 15-20 mile rides on his mountain bike- ouch!)
3. Run a 5K and do a bike race
4. Tackle the hills about 7 miles south of where I live

Here's the specs on my bike, since I happen to have it available to copy and paste. ;) We bought the frame and put all the components from dh's old bike on it, then slowly changed out several of them.
2007 Cannondale Caad9 Frame
Dura-Ace Group Set
Easton EA90 SLX Wheel Set (my Valentine's present this year!)
Cannondale Carbon Slice Fork
Bontrager Stem
Easton Carbon Seat Post
Speedplay Carbon/Titanium Pedals
San Marco Mantra saddle in white
11-28 Compact Cassette
50-34 FSA SLK-Lite Compact Crankset
Dura-Ace 52 Crankset and Bottom Bracket
Easton EC90 Handlbars w/ Fizik handlebar tape in PINK!
I rode 4,350 miles last year. I guess that's around 100 miles average per week. Usually 3-5 times a week with my friend. Sometimes with our club, sometimes events.
Just did the Solvang century, which was my first century of the year. Potentially doing OC Century and Cruisin the Conejo (century) all in training for Heartbreak Hundred in May (7,500-8,000 feet of climbing).
Also planning to do my first road race. Panoche Valley Road Race in May. Almost did it last year and chickened out. Almost did Bulldog at Camp Pendleton recently, but it rained. So hopefully this one will happen.
Will probably also do Cool Breeze, Amtrak and Tour de Foothills later in the year. If I do all of the above, it will be my most ever centuries in a year.

I own:
an Orbea Onix Dama (my normal bike for rides)
a Novara hybrid (for commuting, errands that involve it being locked up somewhere outside a building)
Some sort of Cannondale Mountain Bike (for camping trips or whenever my boyfriend can drag me on mountain bike rides locally - not often :o )
I will average 10 miles a week on the Novara commuting to work, I hope to get in another 90 per week on the Orbea to average 100 miles per week this summer. But ski season isn't over yet so I won't get started on that probably until mid April. ;)

I ride a Trek Madone 5.1 (2008)
I normally average at least 100 miles a week but between the weather and my nonunion fracture I have been putting more miles in spin class! Actual road miles have been averaging 100 miles a month :( But depending on what the doctor says today and the return of evening group rides (with the time change) I should be logging more miles!
My goal is to ride more! I would like to do the 62 mile Frank Pollack Memorial ride next month and the Horsefarm Hundred in Oct and Horrible Hundred in Nov.

I keep my inventory on BikeJournal for easy reference (http://www.bikejournal.com/profiles.asp?rname=TomEzell). The Cross-Check went to Bike Heaven the week before last after The Crash, so it will get replaced by a Surly Long Haul Trucker in the next couple of days. The Specialized Globe doesn't get used much anymore since I got the Cross-Check, so I probably ought to look at finding it another good home, but it's still a cool bike to have as a loaner when the Little Sister comes by to visit. Most often I ride the Orbea for club rides and the distance events, and the Surly is my usual working/commuting/teaching/fooling-around bike. Steel be real ;-)

right now I am down to 2 bikes, but in the past my stable has included
1999 Specialized Allez
1999 Marin Bear Valley
2004 Cannondale Mulitsport
2006 QR Caliente
Now I have a 2008 Specialized Ruby and an older Specialized Rock Hopper, maybe 2002 or so. I no longer do triathlons so there's no need for a tri bike but I would like to do some cyclocross and get a cross bike.
My goal for 2010 is to ride, period. I'd like to be in some sort or shape for skiing and snowboarding when next winter rolls around. This season was just sad.

1) 2008 Specialized Roubaix S-works SL.
Currently has 2010 Ultegra 6700 and Dura Ace 7900 components
2) 2009 Specialized Tarmac Pro SL
Mix of parts: Dura Ace 7800 shifters and derailleurs, DA 7900 cranks, and Ultegra SL brakes
Wheels: DT Swiss Mon Chasseral (training/climbing/wind) and Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR (racing/hammerfest)
The Roubaix used to be my race bike but has been retired from that life. He now goes on long training rides, casual/recovery rides, and spends a lot of time attached to a computrainer with an old Shimano rear wheel.
The Tarmac is the race machine that also appears on most hammerfests and travels to the mountains for snappier descending. Some long training rides are also done with this bike.
Goals: Try not to suck too much this year in my new race category. Spend more time on the bike.

Lots of fun reading these. :) I own:
2007 Trek 5000 WSD - for road rides, multisport
2009 Jamis Coda - swapped out the flat bar for big swept back ones - this is my bike for riding around with my toddler in her Ibert seat...LOVE IT...it will be my commuter someday...
1972 Schwinn Suburban - my errand bike.
What happy bikes we must all have...so well loved. :)

2009 Jamis Coda - swapped out the flat bar for big swept back ones -
Can you post a photo of your Jamis with the new bars? I want to switch my bars on my Coda because of a wrist injury. Flat bars are no longer comfy for me. What kind of bars did you get? Was it complicated to switch the bars? Were you able to use the same brake levers, etc.?

I have a Giant Roam 2 W hybrid bike. It's my baby. Has the most beautiful matt finish. I hope to get a road bike one day but I wanted to find my feet on something a little easier to ride.

My major goals are to lose weight, feel fit and improve my health. I feel like I'm already on my way :)
I'm currently riding about 6 days a week, 5 miles a day. It's not much, but I've only been riding about 2 weeks haha!
If i answered this already, I wonder how that answer would compare to today's answer?
Heh.

Motobecane Mixte recovered from the curb on garbage day transformed to an amazing freewheel:cool:
'97 GT Outpost Trail the faithful TfF yellow commute-errand bike
Mondonico Futura Legero, built for me by the man Antonio himself.
Knott's '90's Giant lugged steel beauty, found in a thrift store and now amazingly transformed.
All of them Robinson Wheelwork's built. I've singlehandedly lowered the average cost of his bikes by having him do extreme makeovers on a dumpster, thrift store, just plain old and my namesake the Trek 420. ;) Sorry, Chris. ;)
Goal is commute more often and do another half marathon this year.
The Mariposa sold today :( :) (that's happy and sad)

2009 Cannondale Super Six High Modules w/ SRAM Red group set.
My main goal is always the same ... ride faster!!! Specifically climbs.
I did my first two road races recently and am proud to say I was NOT last! However, the climbs are where I lose the pack. I have one more this weekend and then will reassess if I am up for racing next year. If I'm going to lose the pack every time there's a climb, I'm not sure racing is for me.
I did four centuries so far this year, the most difficult being Heartbreak Hundred with 8500 feet of climbing, in which I crushed last year's time by coming in an hour and 13 minutes faster. (7:08 total time, including 16 minutes SAG time ... a little different from the 5:34 "ride time" of Amtrak Century last September with only 3200 feet of climbing).
I'm doing at least two other centuries later this year, but plan to focus more on shorter distances at faster speeds.
