I've been in hospital from Thursday till Monday evening and I shared a room with an elderly lady. And she told me the story of her son who died this summer.
He was a cycling fanatic and has traveled the world with his bike. This summer he was on a road trip with 8 of his friends in England. They were riding in a national park and at that same time there were some kids racing with a car. Her 46 year old son was sadly at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Last week she received a letter from the local brittish police saying that the driver who killed her son, was also killed. Riding his bike, taken by a car.
What a weird twist of fate.

I agree, Karma.
But I also find it strange that the police would contact her to tell her what happened.

First- are you OK since you spent a few days in the hospital?
Second- what a sad story. :(

That is tragic.
I hope you are feeling better.
IFjane, there may have been charges pending against the driver who killed the woman's son; if so, it makes sense for the police to contact her about the driver's death.

I'm tired, but I'm feeling better. I have to go back in January/February for surgery.

You have to go back again? That doesn't sound too good. Hope you're back to 100% soon! :)

OMGoodness what a strange sad story.
Do you think that driver of the car started riding his bike because of the accident where that poor lady's son died? Just a question that made me go hmmmmm.
I hope that you get to feeling better soon.

Perhaps he was riding a bike because his license was suspended.....
(I also had the thought that the mother was notified because of pending charges, which also might indicate that the person was not allowed to drive)
That would be karma for you...
- You can't sell that. Karma can only be portioned out by the cosmos

That would be a good possiblity. Especially since they notified that mom.
