Saw this on youtube... looks easy enough, although I probably wouldn't do it for a small number of potatoes. I frequently leave my skins on depending on the type of potatoes. I was thinking of trying this for when I have to make a monster batch of potato salad for the Fourth of July gathering.

Anyone try this before or have another method?

uh,
I a) use a pressure cooker, b) have mostly gone "country". I hardly ever peel mine anymore, they are just as good and healthier! Or I use the peeler. For 2 ppl, it's not that many potatoes.
Or I let them cool down depending on the recipe.

Wow, that seems like a lot of wasted energy, actually.
I rarely peel my potatoes (the skin is the best part!) but if I do need to, my plan is to use my simple, hand-crank apple peeling machine. It's so fast for apples that I'm sure I could peel an entire pot of potatoes faster than it would take to get that water to a boil. ;)

GLC, I LOVE that idea. I'm trying to remember if I can do it without coring the potato, too?

On mine, you can. You just loosen the corer dohicky (that's a techinical term, you know ;)) and spin it down so that you aren't pushing the potato over it as you peel.
