OK, the guys on my team are all over my case because I mentioned in a movie conversation that I liked Paul Rudd. As soon as I said that I got a chorus of groans, head shaking and eyeball rolling.

"That's such a chick thing to say!"

"Why do women like that guy?!"

"How typical!"

OK... so is it true? Do women like Paul Rudd?
When asked why, all I could give was a lame, "Uh... I dunno..." reply.

(My BF still teases me about choosing "Role Model" over "Milk" last weekend.)

I voted neutral. I like him okay, he is usually a fun character and cute enough. But seriously would they not have the same reaction to Angelina Jolie or whoever the it girl is these days? Silly boys.

Voted the last one because I haven't a clue.

Same here. I was flipping channels the other night and I came across some show where 100's of teen age girls were screaming their heads off over some young cute (famous) boy. Not a clue. All I know is he wasn't Davey Jones :D

ok, if Pax looked him up, I will too. Yes, he has a nice face.

Well in that other thread, the "How Will I Die" quiz told me that I will die of a heart attack at the age of 114 at a Tom Jones concert.:D When I'm 114, I don't even want to know how old Tom Jones will be... but I'll bet it's older than this Paul Rudd person. Whoever he is. :p

I love him as an actor. He always plays funny/silly/goofy parts that are likable (to me, at least). DH likes him too (but hopefully not because he's a cutie). :D

I don't think I've ever heard his name, so I had to look him up. I've only seen two things that he was in, and those were a long time ago (Cider House Rules and Clueless) and I only vaguely remember his characters. Cute, though.

Not as much as I like the dead/ghostly boyfriend on Grey's Anatomy. I'm so happy they found a way to bring him back.

I have no idea who you are talking about! I did go to summer camp with a Dawn Rudd from Baltimore, though.

After googling I figured out he's the guy I saw on The Daily Show a few weeks back hawking his movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." I found him rather forgettable but the clip from the movie where his character tells a Starbucks employee that the names for the drink sizes are just "ways to be stupid in three languages" was most excellent.

No, that was from Role Models. It was a good movie, if you don't mind the f-bomb uttered by little kids.

Ah, OK. Still don't think I'm going to pay to see it. :)

ok, maybe not so attractive on the surface but the look is part of his schtick. Underneath all that weirdness is a very funny, smart man. Not bad looking either.
Russel Brand 8061also in the Sarah Silverstone movie.

I like Paul Rudd. I think he appeals to women because he tends to play sensitive characters, and he's fairly easy on the eyes. I think this is also why he does not appeal to men so much.

He's not on my top five list (or whatever they called it in Friends), but he's alright.

I loved his impression of DeNiro in Knocked Up!

Oh, him! Okay, I had to look up who that was and realized I've seen him in a couple of movies and tv appearances. Cute in a sweet good boy kind of way, but his roles are totally forgettable.

I like Paul Rudd . . he was funny in SNL recently especially with Beyonce.

I think they groaned at you because like someone else said he plays the sensitive characters and he's easy on the eyes. He's like "the boy next door" in that he's not pretty boy handsome. I wouldn't necessarily consider him a guy's guy, you know what I mean? It's totally ok for we girls to like him but not for a dude to like him . .as evident by your friends' responses. ;)
