Having an MRI is like lying in a steel garbage can while someone bangs on the outside with rubber mallets. :D

Excellent observation!

Another observation - Having the tech turn a broken limb every which way to xray it to see if it's broken seems counterproductive.

Being at work sometimes feels like being in a dentist's chair. you can't move and it's annoying.

Yeah, but at least no one's got their hands stuffed in your mouth at work (I hope!)... :D

Random thought: Some days you're the windshield, and some days you're the bug. Methinks I have been the bug for about a week now... :(

My acupuncturist said I need to rest more and buy new shoes. My DSIL said that sounds like a contradiction. :o:rolleyes:

Snap..When I had my MRI, I swore Luke Skywalker & Darth Vader were going to appear on the screen above me..

Why is it that birds decide to sit in the middle of the bike path?

Why is this thread becoming random questions instead of random observations?

;)

ok.....

DH and I noticed that when all three cats are hanging out in the same room, they always all have to be facing in three different directions....and usually never facing each other.

Our cats always get sick on a Friday afternoon...right after the vet closes for the weekend.

Whenever I get a chipped tooth or cracked filling it's always the day before we go on a vacation.

Whenever our cat Nina eats grass outside, she makes a pointed effort to puke it up INSIDE, usually heading straight for an area rug.

Cody does this while he's on our bed. He'll lay facing us for about 5 minutes, enough time to get his head scratched, and then do a 180 to face the door. We've discussed flipping the bed in the room so that the door is behind (rather than in front of) us, just to see what he'll do ;)

What he would probably do is wind up sleeping on your faces ;)

Some dogs are just very protective. My Chow was that way. Wherever I went at home, he'd be between me and the door. He really hated a room with two doors, because he couldn't cover both of them.

LOL! He did that last night, until I made him move. It was better to sleep on top of mom and dad's respective shoulders than it was to risk touching the evil feline who was inhabiting the foot of the bed ;)

Gosh, animals make me laugh!

I think Biden is handsome and he is old enough to be my Grandpa!

Why is it so dang hard to peel a cold hard boiled egg but if they are warm it is a piece of cake? MMMMM cake.

lph
08-28-2008, 06:07 AM
I'm guessing it's because the shell is porous and there's a thin layer of water underneath the shell when it's freshly boiled which makes the shell slip off easier. When the egg is cold that water has evaporated and the shell sticks to the inside.

A spoonful of fresh brown sugar should be moistened, then allowed to dry into hard lumps, then savored slowly on the tongue.

I saw a mouse today, or maybe it was a shrew, I can never tell them apart. She, I'm sure it was a she, scurried across the bike path so fast it looked like she had 15 legs. Very cute. Looked a little like a tiny marmot.

At the same time my mp3-player which is now loaded with random 80s stuff I found on our home computer burst into a very bizarre song called something like "Long-leggy John Wayne", with lyrics that sound like they might be dirty but I can't quite make them out. That had me grinning for the next ten minutes at least. :D

I just hit 6400 km for the year, exactly. Kewl.

Then "they" offer cash prizes for anyone who offers a money saving suggestion, but never accept suggestions about the temperature inside the building!
