Saturday morning I decided to take my usual little stroll around my yard and garden to see how the plants are doing. It had rained heavily the night before, and just before I stepped over a retaining/landscaping wall, my foot slipped in the mud and down I went. The top bridge of my foot and the long, skinny bones that lead to the toes took a mean blow against the edge of the concrete wall, and it's all swollen and puffy and hurts much like a break.
So got an x-ray. Not broken as far as I can tell (I'm cheap, I had the picture taken at a friend's chiropractic clinic). My friend will be able to read the xray later today to be sure but... we know this probably means I hurt a ligament, which is worse because they take LONGER to heal than a bone.
So it might be a few weeks before I can ride again. So much for the Century in Millstadt Aug. 2 too.:mad::mad:
