As I recall, there are some in our happy band who don't want to know what happens in a TdF stage until they can watch it. I am not one of them, however :p I want to keep their TV watching pure, so I created this thread.

Stage 2: What happened to Robbie McEwen and Gert Steegmans? I thought they would finish higher up in the stage. Can't complain about Thor winning tho.

I bet it was the climb at the finish.

Does anyone know of a site that shows the full results for each stage? I can find the overall standings after stage 2, but I'd like to see exactly where Cadel and Ryder (the only Canadian) finished today.

That was an amazing final kilometer! Woah!!!!

LBTC check out cyclingnews.com. They have every race complete with results, photos, each category...etc. They sometimes post them in stages. Such as live coverage, brief results and photos then complete results and photos

I live on that website all of the time when I am not here. Happy cycling!

he he he - the best part about live coverage - just hearing David Millar swear. they are riding along in the slipstream car and the DS is talking to him and telling him how he is doing comparatively and asks him how he feels, and he says F*%#. :) You could see the announcer (robbie ventura) look shocked and sort of wanting to laugh, but they just went on like it didn't happen. guessing that won't be on the 'expanded edition' tonight. :)

Yep, sometimes live has its risks. I'm glad they didn't try to cover it up, although Ventura looked shocked indeed!

I thought that was team manager Jonathan Vaughters who swore, not Millar, but I could be wrong. Hope it doesn't get them into too much trouble. The censors may fine lots of $$$ for that.

admittedly, i'm sitting at my computer working while watching/listening. but it sounded like millar, not vaughters. plus, vaughters knew he was on camera and millar didn't, which was why i figured it was millar, plus, the word was in response to "how do you feel" or whatever from vaughters. now i wish i had DVRed the live coverage. :) ventura's face was priceless though, whoever it was that said it.

It was Vaughters. I found a blog about it here:

He's a very bad boy ;).

Is anyone doing the fantasy cycling challenge at versus.com/kenda? Looks fun and there are some nice prizes.

I miss the Lucky 7 game that Trek had a couple of years ago!

I don't know why they even put the media in the team cars. It's such a stressful time and words are not measured in situations like that. Let Vaughters concentrate on his job (and his rider's) and leave him alone! Better for everyone involved.

Tulip: I thought exactly the same thing while watching this today! He was just in the way and the DS was actually doing a great job of being nice, but jeez, it made it hard for him to concentrate on doing his job!
