To DuckonWheels - Thank you! Your package was sitting on my front porch (hiding behind a shrub) :D when I got back in town from three days of field trips. It was work, but somehow a "business trip" doesn't exactly describe being out in marshes. I was excited and curious to see the Customs sticker, and couldn't figure out what it was until I turned the package over and saw the return address. Besides the package was too small to be the day-pack I ordered from REI.

Thank you!!! What is the acronym on the buff and water bottle? Maybe now my wild hair will be tamed, just in time for more boat trips. In June I'll get back on my bike. Hope she forgives me for the neglect.

I came home today a bit stressed after an 8 hour curriculum meeting to find a box from far away on my back step. Just seeing the box brought a smile to my face and the contents made that smile even bigger and brighter. Thanks, Cheryl for the neat gifts within that box. The cat prints are absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to have them framed and to hang them in my bedroom (how did you know I had painted my bedroom purple?). The postcards, magnet, rub, lip balm and box mark are also wonderful and will be put to good use. Thanks again!

Note to my SS - I've not forgotten you I've just about got all your goodies and will have it mailed later this week. Be patient!

Makbike, good to hear the package arrived safely. I had to send it from Canada as i couldn't bring the turkey rub into Australia!

I went to the Edmonton craft fair & wandered around trying to decide what to send you! When i saw the cat items i thought :D

I feel terrible that I'm so behind this month. Really, truly, I promise you my Secret Sister that your package will go out tomorrow night. I don't think I've ever cut it so close to the end of the month before.

I have no clue who my SS is but THANK YOU!! The box of fun was awesome. I have been pouring through the pages of the book and just booked a coast camping trip the beach ball will be fun! Plus I love Life is Good stuff. My dogs should love the goodies as well. Thanks for looking into things I like, I feel so special. :D It has been a long week, I needed a little pick me up.

Just got back from a 3 day weekend away from home and found a fabulous package from my SS! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!. ... What great fun stuff... obviously you know that where I live, if you aren't needing the sun screen, you need the mosquito repellant! Love all the goodies, and look forward to trying them all out. Thanks for making taking the time to make such a great gift! :):):)

So.. who's in MO? I'll have to pay a little more attention to be a sleuth... I'm typically fairly oblivious!;)

Ah, but it was totally worth the wait!!

I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Boston to find my SS package waiting for me. SJCzar - you did a great job! I felt like I was taking a trip down memory lane...I'm sure you don't know this, but I lived in Milwaukee for a couple of years in my early teens, so the city themed stuff was great! I love the 'bubbler' magnet! And since beer is so popular here in the PNW, too...I'm sure the beer related recipes will come in very handy. I laughed out loud at the note in the book, too. When I moved from Milwaukee to Boston, my history teacher made a comment about how they must do more in Milwaukee than just drink beer (I'd gotten an A on my first test) - I said "yeah, they play baseball!" (That was the year the Brewers were in the world series!!) I will say that I truly miss brats though.

Oh, and I started my day today with the cashew vanilla creme coffee and it was AWESOME!!

Thanks so much for making my day! It was wonderful!!

Were you mine? I am not home so I am not sure the city on the return label is in your county. Hmmmm.... You're a vet and you included my puppies? Maybe?

Very possible!
I think I am the only one in Sedro-Woolley on this forum! Everyone else here doesn't ride a bike... they drive great big pickups with gun racks and yell at cyclists!
So... I confess -- it was me! Did I do ok keeping it "mild" on your dogs' tummies? I'd hate to cause pancreatitis in a poor little Schnauzer! They are SO sensitive!

Wow, that was sneaky it took me a week to figure out! Thanks again for the package, I adore my little pink bike keychain. My dogs have been enjoying the treats and they seem to be mild enough. :D Sounds like you live around some of the people we have here, ugh.

That is too funny that you are actually a former Milwaukean, and I got you for a Secret Sister.

I hope you still have fond memories our the city. Soon it will be one of the best times to be here in Milwaukee - SUMMERFEST. I'm sure if you lived here as a teenager you must have spent some time there.

I got my package last week and it was wonderful! Already wore my cool socks and love them. I'm a bit of a sock-oholic, so that was just perfect for me. The lotion smells wonderful and the shot block and beans will come in handy when my dang shoulder heals (or gets shot up with some cortisone) and I can finally get back on my bike!

My package is sitting here beside me and will go out in the mail tomorrow. Sorry for the extreme delay!

Posse- Don't feel bad, mine was only mailed Friday. It had been ready to go since last Sunday but I had a hard time getting by the post office!

Looks like a lot of us were delayed this month. In case a package headed for me is still waiting on somebody's desk, you might want to save some money on the postage. I'll be headed to California in less than 2 weeks. I might get the package sooner and you could definitely send it cheaper than if you mailed it now all the way to Norway. You could PM me for the address to my moms place. Or PM my sister (Trek420). Or go via Makbike if you want to keep your ID secret. ;)

I was just gloomily affixing my waterproof neon yellow helmet cover to my helmet this afternoon and wondering, alternately, when the heck we had moved to Mordor, and if I REALLY dared to ride in the rain and cold at this stage of my recovery when an extremely festive packaged arrived from New Orleans, brightening my day immensely.
I love the beads and the shirt--and you can just never have enough socks!
Thanks Beth.:D You really made my day!

I totally remember Summerfest! I saw INXS, Huey Lewis and the News and the Stray Cats at Summerfest! And it used to be 'break dancing' central back then (yes, I'm dating myself!). So many great memories! Enjoy it for me, this year, will you? :)

Oooh! I remember Huey Lewis etc. Chris Hayes (their guitarist) lived up the hill from my folks for a few years, til the noise from the road drove him near crazy. It was a fantastic place known to neighbors as "The Castle". I must have a picture of it somewhere, but probably from before I went digital. The living room was 2 stories + a turret tall with a full height natural stone fireplace. The "mantlepiece" (if you could call it that) was like a rock wall with a built-in waterfall that ended in a whirlpool tub. Really more of a bachelor pad place than a family home, but then the guy who built it was kind of a crazy bachelor carpenter. Anyway, though it was pretty far up on a wooded hillside, it wasn't far enough away from the road for quiet. We got invited up for a swim now and then when I was there on vacation. There weren't a lot of kids around and mine were more or less of an age with his son, who I think considered my Dad an unofficial grandfather.

I got my package today! Thank you very much for my goodies. Love the socks! And the yummy stuff as well. And the lieguard chapstick has come at a great time in my working season. I will be using that! The sticker and hat are very cool as well. Did I leave anything out.
Ok now are you from Texas? I noticed the trail mix was from texas. AM I right? Is it Aggie Ama?
Oh yes the socks do appeal to my cat side.

Oh How funny. I have some very good friends who are playing at Summer fest and I have done a sand sculpture there for Italian fest (same grounds). Great grounds.

You must not have peeked at the return address! Yup, it is me. The hat is from Lance's new bike shop and the trail mix is named after the area I went to college. Glad it got out to you, I was getting a little nervous because it normally doesn't take almost a week. :D

Yeah. Us furriners tend to receive things a bit late. Then too, the folks who get us as their SS have to spend more on postage. Costs more, takes longer. Kind of a drag on both ends.

To Makbike-- Thank you so much for the package full of goodies! It was like being on a treasure hunt as I dug through the box. I love everything from the pink socks to the honey, appple cider, tea, sunblock, water bottle, lip balm, etc. Too many items to list. But I have to mention the Kentucky Derby glass. It is so neat.

Yukon heard the squeak of the toy and came zooming over to see what was going on. I think the item is still in one piece

Thanks again Tater!! :D:)

I got my SS package yesterday and it was filled with lots of fun summer goodies (thanks wannaduacentury).

My bike has pink and orange on it so the socks, waterbottle, and scarf are great matches with it.

I had to laugh about the sunscreen - I used the one in my bike bag a few weeks ago and got burned. I later noticed the expiration date was over a year ago and it was only SPF15 so a new one was really needed.

We were batting around the beach ball and listening to some tunes in the office this morning. Anything to break up the day.

I always end up carrying my change of clothes for after my group rides in a plastic shoppping bag. The cute bag you sent will be perfect for that.

Thanks for everything and have a great summer.

Oh, cool! That explains one of the mystery packages my Mom was wondering about :) We couldn't figure out why one more package had arrived than what we'd ordered from here 'n there (TE, Ibex, LandsEnd, etc.). I fly over on Friday. Can hardly wait to see what's waiting there. Besides my new-to-me Bike Friday, that is. WooHoo!

:D:D:D Thank you, thank you, not so very secret sister Brandi! That is indeed a very special, and very summery T-shirt! I wonder if people will expect me to be able to sculpt fantastic things in sand if (when) I wear it at the beach. I'm afraid they'll be disappointed if they do, although I'm pretty good and snow-sculpting.

The straws are soooo cute! I think they go with me on the family picnic and bike ride Sunday. TE'ers also welcome. It's a pretty open-ended event, I gather (right, Trek?) at Rosie the Riveter Park (Richmond end of the Bay Trail).

And chocolate, of course :p Always a hit!

It arrived! Got the package today, GLC....thanks for the fun stuff. I'm out of snacky-poos for the bike and I'm anxious to try the Luna Moons.
And the buns love to toss the tubes, a paws up from them, too!
Thanks again.
