I think I'm ready. :D I'm so excited! I started riding last spring, just over a year ago. Last year at this time I was struggling to ride 15 miles on my mountain bike and now I'm hooked, got a road bike, and even have the clipless shoes. :p Never thought I'd turn into a "cyclist" LOL!
I've ridden the entire course just not all at once. I know to pace myself, drink lots of water, and make sure to eat a little every hour. Any other tips I should know about?
Wish me luck!

Thanks, thanks, thanks!
A friend from the club I ride with called and wanted to know if I was riding the century Sat. She's not sure if she'll do the entire 100 but wanted to ride together so that will be fun! The only part I don't want to do alone is Webber Canyon. I'm good at mentally defeating myself on hills so I'm much better if I can talk to someone as I ride up and distract the bad voices in my head. :o:p

Remember to replace electrolytes. Water is good, but drink sports drinks or eat salty foods, too.

Yea! I DID IT!!! :D:D:D It was a great ride and I had FUN! I'll get some pictures posted tomorrow when I figure out the camera I bought last night. LOL! The weather was wonderful, cloudy, slight breeze (5mph), and around 70. SAG support was wonderful and the rest stops were well stocked.
I rode the first 25 alone and started at 6:30am. I met up with a friend that skipped the first loop and wanted to do 75 today. She's a much more experienced rider than I am and rides a little faster but we found a good rhythm. Webber Canyon was challenging because I'm a hill weenie but we made it up! The decent into Prosser was FUN. I was struggling some but felt better after the rest stop. We had a nice tailwind back to Benton City and took a longish break. I was energized when we left there for the last 20 miles and we zipped right along. I think the endorphins must have kicked in because I was in great shape when we finished! I was glad to be done and starved but still felt great.
We averaged 15.3 which thrills me! Not bad for my first century. We only got passed a few times and it was by a fast local club so no big deal. :p Now I'm just going to hang out and go to sleep early.
Oh, I also met a fellow TE lady at one of the stops and got a pic. Very fun to put a face to a name. Only I forgot my screen name and told her the wrong one. LOL! I think I must have been a little tired. :o
WhoooHooooo!
