This morning started before sunrise....
The young couple next door had another fight around 4am. Outside. Oh, and the weather's nice so all my windows are open. There driveway is about 20 feet from my bedroom windows. Technically they're separated, so I don't know what he was doing at the house in the wee hours. But this time someone called the cops. They were still there when I went out at 5 to get my paper. I'm awake, might as well get the paper. But it was fairly quiet, and I really didn't want to be awake, so I went back to bed. Managed to sleep another hour or so. Crawled out of bed, checked my aunt who's visiting, and she's thankfully asleep. Go make a cup of tea and read the paper. When I had checked outside, the cops were gone, but around 7 they were back, but things are quiet. My aunt gets up, she had managed to sleep through all the yelling and screaching, so at least SHE had a good night's sleep. As we head out for breakfast, we notice the squad car is gone. We have an enjoyable day, supporting the local economy. Happy Birthday Aunt Mary Mac! Come home around noon, squad car is back. They're back and forth most of the afternoon. I decide to take a nap, but since the window is open, and my nerves are on edge, I can't help myself and peer out the window when I hear car doors slam. Late afternoon, squad car is back, and an unmarked car, I don't see who gets in the cars, but I do hear them leave. Now the house next door is dark, but her SUV is in the driveway. I'm worried about Holly, baby Sam, and the dogs. Maybe the Parish's finest managed to referee this domestic problem into some kind of settlement. At least tonight I can sleep. The rain is also helping to dampen (:o) the noise level. But I'm still worried. I know I can't fix their problems. Nothing ever goes on the the 'burbs, not ever. Yeah, right.

Yikes! I hope mom and baby are OK. Scary situation.

Aunt Mary Mac? Reminds me of that old school song we used to sing. Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack, all dressed in black, black, black, with silver buttons, buttons, buttons, all down her back, back, back. Sorry. I read your Aunt's name and it made me smile. :) Hope her birthday was nice!
