No riding this weekend for us. :( Friday the hub volunteered to help survey the dam where we live. He was two minutes from being finished and slipped on some slick mud/algae at the bottom of the spillway.
He called me and said he thought he had dislocated his shoulder, come get him FAST. He was in excruciating pain.
Spent the afternoon at the ER. They put him to sleep, popped it back into place and it popped out again. Got it back in again and his arm is immobilized until we can follow up with an orthopedic.
Y'all will appreciate this. After they got it in place and the doctor left for a sec, the hub said, I wonder when I can ride my bike. Don't let me forget to ask him. :)
It's been rainy here this weekend, but I've been too busy taking care of the one armed man to have time to ride.

Yikes! I hope he's feeling better soon. I dislocated a shoulder when I was 25 in a motorcycle accident, and I couldn't even reach forward and down to tie my shoes for a while.
At least the weather was sucky this weekend. Wishing your DH a speedy recovery.

Reminds me of when I got hit by a car, and my mom came to pick me up when I got released from the ER. Firstly, we were walking through the parking lot, and this car started backing up, and I grabbed her and go "Watch out, don't get hit!" :D
Then we were driving to the house, and she said we should go along the river because it would be a nice drive. The first thing I said about that was "It would be a much nicer bike ride." :p
I hope your husband heals quickly, and y'all can get back to riding soon! :)
