Yahoo!!!! My new frame is shipping today via 3-day select so I should be able to ride my new bike in the MS Waves to Wine Ride at the end of the month.

I'm going to have to practice up on the royal wave to ride this beauty, another Tom Kellogg masterpiece.

Two more pics here.

Oh, wow! BEAUTIFUL! :D

I love the colors, but I'm especially impressed by the Amici Veloci crest . . . did I say, BEAUTIFUL??? :D

I do expect to see photos of you sporting that "royal wave" while upon the bike. :p

The Amici Veloci badge is gorgeous.

Is this a touring bike? How will it be outfitted?

Nina, besides Tom Kellogg's incredible reputation as a frame builder, the seat stays bowled me over too.

MDHill, the bike will be used the same way I used my Litespeed Tuscany. Centuries, brevets up to 200k, and day tours (though I don't use more than a small Detours High Tail (http://detours.us/product_info.php?products_id=117)). I used to swap out the saddle on the Tuscany and slap on some aerobars for timetrials but we're moving to Bend, Oregon, and the local time trial there is going up hill towards Mt. Bachelor. Um, maybe not . . . . but if I did decide I needed to try it I would needn't the aero bars for the climb and for the descent I certainly wouldn't want the extreme forward position that such a mutt of set up puts you in.

Components will be the Topolino wheels I already own. Triple drivetrain - a mix of Record and Chorus. FSA post, bar and stem. Haven't decided on tape. Maybe Fizik's microtex in silver. Not sure. I need to see the frame in person first. Tom includes the fork and headset so it has one of the new Reynolds UL forks and a Chris King headset.

Gorgeous frame!

Fizik also has a dark metallic blue Microtex that you might like. I have the metallic blue on my bike now, but I've been considering switching to the silver the next time I change the tape.

I know the feeling. I actually used a paint chip and coated it with spray-on acrylic to simulate clearcoated Imron paint to make sure I liked the color and effect. Even bought two different jars of gold leaf paint to be sure of the color.

I wasn't going to leave it up to chance.
